Went to this park thinking some nice flowers would welcome us .. instead, there came the barbeque smell ...

People were having family/get-together picnics with barbeque, and relaxing in tents and lottta people cycling, biking and having long walks ..

Liked the walk-trails ... there is a small food shop at the entrance, do not eat there .. (not much options to choose)

if u walk to the other end of the park. there is a good restaurant to eat with quite a lot of options ..

there is a lake/pond where few people were busy fishing ..

if you have a kid, you can do the train ride ($8) ..

This park has no fees and you are travelling using subway train, you have to get down at high park station ...

Well, it is a big park and you can spend quite a lot of time here ...

High Park is a fabulous park full of things to do. Hike, bike, walk, run through the park and enjoy the beautiful old trees (check out the cherry blossoms in the spring!). There are plenty of places to picnic. You can swim in the pool, take the kids to the playground and enjoy the summer theatre productions. Plan to spend some time in the park and you will forget that you are in a big city.

The first challenge was to find our way to attractions inside the park from the streetcar - a little signage wouldn't hurt to help out of town visitors find their way to the little zoo and the playground. Once we had found it, our grandkids had a wonderful time petting the chickens, bunnies, and lamas, guided by wonderfully patient and knowledgeable volunteers. There are lots of trees to give shade on a hot summer's day.
Unfortunately the bathrooms are absolutely disgusting - plumbing is from the 50's and hasn't been cleaned since the 70's...byo toiletpaper and beware of sandals! There is limited availability of food, so bring a picnic!

Beautiful park in the middle of the city!! Especially lovely in the spring time. Excellent trails and great for a little nature walk without having to go out of Toronto.

High park is a great park for a whole family. Perfect for walking, running or playing ball. Park also has tennis courts, outdoor swimming pool, two playgrounds and a restaurant. Outdoor theatre is open during every summer and is free. Cherry blossom in a spring is an unforgettable event(gets so busy, parking becomes a chaos).
