“Nice park”
Reviewed February 9, 2013

Beautiful park all times of the year. April/May is Sakura flowering time. Fall is beautiful with all the fall foliage. Winter is gorgeous too. There is a small free zoo. A pond with swans and ducks. Parking is an issue, especially on the weekends and especially during "high seasons" (holidays, Sakura festival time etc". Overall, it's an amazing place in Toronto to visit for the locals and tourists.

“Great spring birding, cherry blossoms too”
Reviewed February 8, 2013

I've had some very amazing bird observation outings at high park, mainly when the trees are budding and attracting birds including indigo buntings, warblers and more. There are also wood ducks to be found in the ponds, at the right time of year.

High park is an interesting place to hike around. I've hiked, fished, birded, and just gone for a relaxing visit in the park. It's interesting how removed you feel from the city once you get settled in.

Recommended for couples, singles, or families, and if you can catch the cherry blossoms it's a very nice park to visit.

“Cherry blossoms are fantastic!”
Reviewed February 3, 2013

If you plan on visiting during Cherry Blossom season, you have to arrive early or go during the work week... very busy time of year but so worth it. Plan on using public transit or need to park outside of park area.

“Lush...”
Reviewed February 1, 2013

We are very fond of walking and this park certainly fits the bill. The grounds are well cared for and on my second visit I discovered the zoo which I found fascinating. I can only describe it as a garden of eden.

“Like New York's Central Park only just outside of Toronto's downtown.”
Reviewed January 31, 2013

Easy to find. Just take the subway to High Park Subway station . Explore on foot, stopping perhaps to watch the baseball games, or in winter the ice hockey games. Great casual restaurant in the centre called Grenadier. One of the best spots to see the Cherry Blossom show on spring!
