Fantastic views of the city. A bit pricey but worth the money and trip. This is included in the must-get city pass which also gives you admission to a movie and ride. If you're daring enough (I'm not!), the Edgewalk seems amazing!

We ate here during our stay in Toronto. It's a lovely restaurant and the food is nice. The price is normal for Toronto but quite expensive compared to the uk. We spent £250 for 2 people with a bottle of wine. Definitely worth a visit though.

Toronto is a city that can easily be done in about 3 days, especially in winter when outdoor options are limited. The CN Tower is a must-see on any trip to Toronto, regardless of season. A couple of tips here: if you're going to the Royal Ontario Museum, Casa Loma, Ontario Science Center as well, you might strongly want to consider the City Pass...it can save you over $100USD if you're a family of 4.
Anyway, the tower is very cool. The SkyPod (highest accessible point) is closed for renovations right now (end of January 2014), but the general admission to the top point that is accessible doesn't disappoint. It's pricey, but worth it, considering most attractions cost the same and dont have what this one does ($99CAD for a family of 4): The elevator ride alone is worth it. I'm a New Yorker and remember taking the elevator to the top of the Twin Towers...this feels similar to that, except a portion of the elevator is see-through...can you imagine? VERY COOL! My kids, 4 and 7, were amazed the entire time. We had dessert and a cocktail at the Horizons restaurant (with a view of the city), went a couple of flights down to check out the glass floor (yes, you are literally walking on a see-through floor from over 1,000 feet up!) and then stopped at the film and ride floor (my daughter was under 42" so she couldn't ride, but it's included in the Gen Adm price anyway so my husband and son went). The gift shop doesn't have too many offerings (maybe this is a good thing!) and there's an arcade for bigger kids. In warmer times of year, there's an Edgewalk ride (not really a ride, but people pay money to hang off the side of the building!).
I would do this again, and definitely recommend it to a first-timer.

The tower is massive and certainly demands attention. When you go in, you have quite the array of options as far as tickets. There is general admission, then other tickets that include things such as the observation deck and the elevator that goes all the way to the top. I believe they also offer an adventure attraction where you get to walk outside on the scaffolding of the tower while in a harness.

The views were amazing and the observation deck was great. It was quite cold and windy but fun none the less.

We also ate at one of the restaurants at the tower, and the food was incredible. Definitely worth trying. Note however that one of the restaurants is rather fancy and I believe it requires reservations.

This was amazing and breath taking. I absolutely loved being up in the sky so high, the feeling of my ears popping because of the high altitude. I had the feeling that I was on top of the world. Basically, it takes a minute for the elevator to get you up to the observation deck. Then you can walk around, go on the outdoor deck and feel the high speeds of the wind on your face. Incredible food, incredible view, and an incredibly clean bathroom. If you're in Canada, this is a must!
