Owner description: The Royal Ontario Museum (ROM) is among the world’s leading museums of natural history and world cultures. In combining a universal museum of cultures with that of natural history, the ROM offers an unusual breadth of experience to our audiences from around the world. We realize more acutely now that nature and humanity are intertwined, and the ROM offers many examples in its collections and programs of these fundamental relationships.

“Great museum!”
Reviewed November 12, 2012

On our travels we always stop at one or two museums. Sometimes they're disappointing. This one wasn't in the least and exceeded our expectations. Loved everything about the First People's Exhibit (a thrill to see Sitting Bull's headdress) and the gallery with beautiful antique furniture and decorative arts was very worthwhile. I'm not a dinosaur person but found the displays to be fascinating. Browse, eat at Frank's, and browse some more for a great day. You won't be sorry.

“School Attraction”
Reviewed November 8, 2012

It seems that this is really a school attraction for children. Was not pleased with there summer camps there for the children. One would expect that the programs are based around the museum and they are not. Just a great babysitting program and not very professional.

“Lots of fun”
Reviewed November 7, 2012

In total I have been to the ROM 2 times. the last time I went was on a very cute date. The ROM closes at 430 so if you want to see all the exhibits make sure you go early.

“exorbitantly overpriced, but there is a good collection”
Reviewed November 6, 2012

although the special dinosaur exhibit was included in our $25/person admission ticket, we found the ancient greece and egypt exhibits more riveting. i agree with another reviewer mentioning the pangaea video loop in the dinosaur area--i could watch that forever. it does seem like a great museum for kids, but for those people visiting without children, it was almost impossible to read anything in the dinosaur exhibit while the halls were crowded with small children and school-age kids.
