“Fantastic trip - best day out ever!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 6, 2013

This was an incredible day out and the service was excellent. Our driver was so friendly and kind and was a pleasure to be with! It was a well organised day with the highlight being the Maid of the Mist. I thoroughly recommend using Chariots of Fire!

“Great Experience”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 5, 2013

We specifically visited Toronto to see the falls and chose this tour company because of all the great reviews we'd seen. We definitely enjoyed the day at the falls. Our tour guide was Mel and made the hour and a half bus ride there easier with his many facts about the natural wonder. It was raining very heavily all day, which was a disappointment, however Mel did his best to make the day enjoyable. Normally, he said, we'd go to the Skylon Tower and Falls first, then have lunch at Niagara-on-the-lake, but he took us to the town first so that it may stop raining by the time we reached the falls. We were fine with this. We could have used a little more time in the town, as we barely had any time to finish our meal before having to get back on the bus - on which we are not allowed to have any food or drinks besides water. The bus is therefore extremely clean and spacious, which was very nice. We made a few stops at the Floral Clock and Hydro-plant before reaching the falls and on the way back at a winery. We felt that we could have done without this. We would rather have more time at the falls themselves which were breathtaking. All in all, a very enjoyable trip and we are very happy we trusted Chariots of Fire to make our first time at the Niagara Falls a memorable one.

“Fun way to see the Falls”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 3, 2013

Our tour guide Mel was fantastic, he was full of information and was very engaging. We first got to stop and take photos of the falls, while the others on the tour rode the Skylon tower (we were just not interested in partaking in this part), then we moved on to our Maid of the Mist portion, which was amazing to say the least! We then stopped off at a few other photo opportunity spots, the town of Niagara on the Lake and finally a local winery.
We always felt safe being on board Mel's bus, he was appreciative of us all being on time, made jokes, we really enjoyed him being our guide.
I would definitely suggest this as a great way to see the Falls.

“Great day out”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 30, 2013

Great day out touring the Niagara region. Easy pick up at the Hard Rock Cafe at Dundas Square, though there seemed to be several tours running that day (it was labour day weekend) so there was a bit of faffing with some of the passengers as our bus was full. But we soon set off for Niagara with our driver Sam giving us commentary most of the way there which was great.

First stop was the Skylon Tower which my mum and I didn't want to go up, so we, and two other people were taken on to have more time at the next stop, Table Rock, which was great to be offered that choice, rather than wait for everyone else. Glad we made that decision as it gave us time for a coffee and to take lots of photos of both the US and Canadian Falls and get pretty wet in the mist!

Onto the Maid of the Mist tour which was great. Sam handed out our tickets and we joined the long (but fast moving) queues. The boat was pretty packed and as other reviewers have said, everyone heads straight for the railings, so you need to get yourself a spot quickly. But you still have a great view from anywhere on the boat, and everyone seems to get wet! It was a great chance to see the awesome power of the water as you pass close by. It's deafeningly loud and a bit overwhelming! The free knee length ponchos are a must!

With time to have lunch (we took a sandwich with us) overlooking the Falls, we then boarded the bus again and headed for quick stops at the Whirlpool Aero Car where you could see the whirlpool created by water from the Falls and the amazing AeroCar hanging over the water. Next stop, the Floral Clock which was a real disappointment, but we were only there 10mins, so not a problem.

But would much rather have had more time at the next stop, Niagara on the Lake. Coaches have to park outside the town. There is a shuttle bus in, or a 5mins walk into town which we did. Gorgeous town, beautiful buildings, hanging baskets, street planting, lovely looking shops. Well worth a wander and if we'd had more time, a good browse of the shops.

Back to the bus and onto the last stop, the Diamond winery for wine tasting. Delicious wines, including some ice wines which were great to try. Time to browse the winery shop if you wanted to buy any.

Onto the bus for the return journey to Toronto and most people fell asleep as it had been a long day, but an interesting and fast-paced tour of the region. Would definitely recommend the tour as it was well worth the money and was well organised.

Would recommend the company ditch the floral clock, and even the whirlpool stop too. Less stops but longer would be great.
