A great way to see the Falls and the surrounding areas. The bus was great, our driver was terrific and very knowledgeable. We went in a group of six and had the best time. Would highly recommend this tour to everyone.

“Day to Niagara and Beyond”
Reviewed August 15, 2013

My wife and I have been wanting to go to Niagara Falls for several years and finally had an opportunity to spend a day there. We looked into renting a car and driving from Toronto, but after looking at the rental car prices decided it would make more sense to leave the driving to a tour. We shopped around and decided to try Chariots of Fire. We booked our tour and realized we booked the wrong day - and from the wrong direction! We quickly contacted them via email and they called back within an hour to help us correct our errors. We had wonderful day with Chariots of Fire - and our driver / tour guide made it a special day. I'm not sure about the other guides - but Mel is amazing with his history and suggestions. I highly recommend this tour company and hope you get to meet Mel.

“Perfect trip to Niagara”
Reviewed August 15, 2013

We chose this tour based on reviews and weren't disappointed. Mel, our driver, was very knowledgeable and livened up the trip to Niagara with his stories and great sense of humour. Although timings were tight to fit everything in, we felt we had enough time at each stop. The itinerary was well planned, with a trip up the Skylon Tower, views over the Falls, a trip on the Maid of the Mist, photo stops along the river, time in Niagara on the Lake and a stop at a vineyard to taste icewine. We had a great day out and thoroughly recommend Chariots of Fire.

“Great tour..with a few misses!”
Reviewed August 13, 2013

We did the Toronto to Niagra tour and had a great time. Our bus driver/tour guide was wonderful. Very nice and lots of information. Can't remember his name but he had an Italian accent. We stayed in a hotel downtown and chose to be picked up at the first stop (lower Yonge St) at 7:30am, bus was prompt and then we went a very short distance up the street and parked to wait 30 minutes for the 8:00am pick-up time. My recommendation: sleep a few more minutes and go to the upper Yonge St pick-up at 8:am, if we were in a taxi it probably would have cost an extra dollar to go to the second stop...well worth it rather than waiting 30 min sitting on the bus.

We wondered about getting wet and brought extra clothes....not necessary. Maid of Mist is only time you get wet and free poncho was good protection...shoes got a little wet but quickly dried. Your face/hair will get wet but rest stays dry...if you don't want your face/hair wet there are places on boat to stay dry.

First real stop is Skylon tower...extra 12.00/person......pay the money........it was worth it!! Some people chose to take a helicopter flight and were dropped off before Skylon tower.

We were told we could get food at park by falls or after Maid of Mist boat ride....time was short and really not enough time to get and eat food before getting on bus. People were pretty hungry by the time we went to village "Niagra on the Lake" and really only had time to eat and see very little before getting back on bus.

Only part of trip that was not interesting and a waste of time was the wine tour. Feels more like a captive audience to sell you wine than something to see. Most people were getting tired and ready to head back.

Only real complaint was the bus...seats don't recline and the a/c was never on until 5 minutes outside Toronto on the return. No bathroom on bus. A few easy changes would make this trip excellent.

Only other complaint I had was when I booked online for the tour.....the website states you cannot change/cancel your reservation without a 20 or 25% admin fee being charged....I think this is ridiculous....we booked many weeks in advance and I think a fair policy would be 100% refund until 1 week before trip or even 3-4 days prior. You could book this several months from now and then change plans months before your trip and when you cancel, you still lose 20-25% of the trip cost.

“Great value trip!”
Reviewed August 13, 2013 via mobile

I did this tour during a four day visit to Toronto and I have to say it was one of the highlights of the trip!
We were collected right on time at 7.30am althought we did then have about a 25 minute wait at the second pick up point. On the trip to Niagra Mel our driver told lots of stories and gave us lots of info about Niagra. Although some people has mentioned Mel's monotone voice this didn't bother me and I actually enjoyed his commentary.
We started our trip at the skylon tour where you get amazing ariel views of the falls. Then on to do Maid of the Mist which again was an amazing experience. We then set of for Niagra on the Lake, on the way we had a few brief photo stops. At Niagra on the Lake we had an hour to explore and I must say this was the one downside, we really wanted longer here as it was such a beautiful quaint little town which I feel we didn't get to fully experience!
Our final stop was at the vineyard where we got to sample Canadian wind including red and white ice wine which I'd never tried before!
All in all this was a great trip topped off by being sent home with a box of maple cookies!!
