Description: Welcome to FOUR where we offer a balanced approach to guilt-free dining. We pride ourselves in our commitment to healthful dining by offering all of our dishes under 650 calories; however, our approach to nutrition and wellness is so much more than just calories and carbohydrates - it really is about the kind of food that makes you feel great about what you eat. In other words, we want to help you put the positive into your body so that you can radiate that positive energy right back by looking and feeling fabulous.

Four shares a kitchen with its upstairs cousin, Far Niente, and it shows. The dishes are fresh, healthy and not too big. The corn and crab cake is a perfect side dish or app and has tons of sweet crab meat served on top of an avocado puree with a very large helping of the best jicama salad I have ever had. There might have been mango too but the jicama and the dressing shine on this.

The soba noodles with shrimp are tasty, light and healthy but filling enough to get you through the afternoon. Don't bother with the shrimp dumplings. They are doughy and the sauce they are in is too sweet. Plus they arrived cold.

Which brings me to the service. It's lousy. At least until they want you to pay. We waited 15 minutes for a waiter to visit our table (the place was far from full) and another ten to get drinks. Ten minutes after that we placed our order. The food came quickly and the waiter disappeared. Once the cheque came, however, he stopped every two minutes to peer inside the little folder for a credit card. Once he delivered the credit card machine, POOOF! gone again.

The space is quite lovely, especially for a mall dungeon. Dark with lots of glass and shiny things. But the music was unnecessarily loud for a weekday lunch in the business district. Folks, people like to talk at lunch.

Very popular lunch place but expensive for what you get.
Tiny chicken burger and tiny salad will set you back $15.00.
If you want to be fed. Go to the adjacent food courts. Fairly noisy place. Very modern and arty. Designer meals, designer juice, designer dessert. All low cal, low fat and ........high price.

Much less noisy that across the street duke of Devon in TD centre.

It 's a style thing.

Note: Look for the Far Nientes sign - Four is inside and downstairs. The mushroom soup at Four is the best I have ever eaten. The menu looks like upscale bar food, but each dish is crafted to be extra tasty and (as a bonus), nothing is over 650 calories, including specialty cocktails. Vibrant crowd, but not too loud to have an engaged conversation. Black cod entree was superb. Service was attentive, friendly, knowledgeable - I would have enjoyed a longer conversation with our waiter learning about the food and his involvement. $4.44 designer cocktails after 4 pm are brilliant. We sat at a tall table and the chairs were very comfortable. My highest recommendation.

I've eaten at Four several times and have always enjoyed it. Dined there last week with some colleagues, thought it would be perfect for a ladies' lunch given the calorie wise nature of the meal (all dishes under 650 calories). Our server was pleasant and efficient and even took my Montreal colleague's order in French. We asked for his recommendations and weren't disappointed. The dessert offerings are the highlight of the meal, little delights in shot glasses, don't miss! I've seen other restaurants offer such desserts but I think this restaurant originated the idea.Make sure you have a reservation, it always fills up at lunch being centrally located for the business lunch crowd. It can get busy at night too, particularly if there's a Leaf or Raptor game on.

Sliders in the evening are delightful. For lunch the chicken meatball spaghetti is the ideal portion. A few chillies on the side and one is ready for a busy afternoon.
