“Fantastic Small Bistro”
Reviewed June 9, 2012

Went to Weezies a few years ago and had forgotten how wonderful it is. I remember having the Mac & Cheese which was delicious and very cheesy.
It is a very small place, cozy and bright due to the large windows facing the street, which help to give the impression of openness. The menu is small and I had a hard time choosing because everything looked so good. I had the spring salad with buttermilk dressing. It had asparagus and fiddleheads. The buttermilk dressing was just right. I had the salmon rillette which contained fresh and smoked salmon and hence was perfectly seasoned. We ordered one of each dessert to share. Both were exceptionally good. The lemon curd cake was moist and tart and the butterscotch pot de creme was sinfully smooth and butterscotchy and not too sweet. An exceptionally delicious meal.

a small bistro with a warm atmosphere that serves wonderful food with good service; the homemade pasta with a light mushroom sauce was superb!

“Tucked away and small, Weezie's food continues to gather attention”
Reviewed November 28, 2011

The Berkeley Street Theatre is a bit off the beaten track but close to the Distillery District. Weezie's is half way between the two. Recommended by people who live on Parliament Street, Weezie's is great place to eat. The menu, although limited, has wonderful offerings. For appetizers, they have a delectable mac and cheese, an onion and goat cheese tarte, and an interesting frise salad with egg and lardons-as if they have combined breakfast in an interesting way on salad for supper: among a few other unusual items. For supper, they list a papardelle with tomatoes, steak and frites, a whitefish. I chose trout in brown butter with capers, accompanied by almonds and beans. It was very good. My husband enjoyed the lovely burger and the fantastic fries. For desert, it was a choice between bay leaf creme brule or malva pudding- a bit like warm bread pudding that Quince also features. The decor is small, dark and intimate. The service is excellent and friendly.
