Three of us ate dinner here tonight and had a great time! Food was great, service is very good and the entire meal was $100! We had 3 small plates and 2 large plates plus rice for 4 and we took home leftovers. We tried the pot stickers, shrimp chips and broccoli tempura. The best were the pot stickers. The plate of tempura is huge. Our large plates were the jackpot chicken and roasted chicken. Both were delicious but could have been hotter and cut into smaller portions. The rice is amazing....so good. We'll definitely be back!

food taste awful, the pork jowl came out tough like leather, and music was so loud, our ears hurt, the loud music should fit only in a night club, not in an eatery

We arrived after the lunch hour rush so it was not crowded. We ordered the pot stickers that was delicious. I ordered the jackpot chicken rice which was served with winter melon soup. The soup was tasty and the chicken was tender and flavourful with ginger scallion dip. Their chilli sauce is home made which was by spicy. The schmazy rice was tasty, tender, and cooked with chicken stock. My friend ordered the roast chicken rice and she enjoyed her dish.
If you have tried Nong's Khao Man Gai in Portland, Oregon you will be disappointed here
Service was attentative.
Would be good for a late night snack.

So we were a party of 4 and ordered the dinner for 4, which came with 3 small plates and 3 large plates. For $115 that's a really good deal, especially since you can try a majority of the menu. We got the potstickers, bok choy, and upgraded to the popcorn chicken. All small plates were phenomenal, especially the popcorn chicken. For the large plates, of course we got the jackpot chicken (so juicy and really good!), shrimp toast (a lot more toast than shrimp IMO), and hamburger (it's good, not great). I'm coming back to order the killa shrimp and other chicken dish. The major standouts were also the crispy chicken skin and kaya french toast dessert. Come here. Eat. It's delicious and really good for its value!

Chicken Rice Experience: Eaten it since I was 5 years old in Singapore, Malaysia, China, Australia, Europe, and Canada. Also able to make various iterations of the dish myself through traditional methods.

The chicken rice here is a different take on more traditional hainanese chicken rice. A couple of positive things. The inclusion of a ginger/shallot sauce is very welcome, although the super traditional forms only have a ginger sauce. The chicken was also de-boned, which makes eating the dish much easier than those places which just chop and serve bone in. They also definitely nail the chicken-flavoured rice. The portion sizes are decent. Good atmosphere and good service.

A lot of things that could be improved. Firstly, this place is very expensive and frankly overpriced. $13.75 for a single portion of chicken rice (including sauces, rice, and soup). The "share" portion is actually a decent size but costs $16 without rice and without the soup. So you have to pay an additional $6 for "rice for 2" which ends up being about four 150ml scoops of rice (not a lot of rice). The rice isn't bottomless either (for $6 a pop I would expect it to be - chicken rice is a speciality item but when you're specialty is that rice I think it's a rip off to be charging that much when you're making it en masse). In Singapore, this dish in total is sold for $3.50 (in Australia and Europe between $10-12 - with bottomless rice) They also add scallions and dried onions to the rice making it crunchy. This IMO is a seriously presumptuous choice for made for the diner, as the texture between crunchy rice and the soft fluffy puffy chicken rice makes a big difference. They should leave those to the sides or as a garnish to be added on the tables itself. The flavour of the chicken was heavy on the shaoxing wine and light on the sesame oil (along with light soy sauce), making the chicken taste slightly more drunk than it should have. Additionally, there was some kind of sweet glaze (almost like a BBQ pork bun sauce) added to the chicken which made it taste sweet and drowned out the natural flavour of the chicken that comes from poaching the chicken in green onions, ginger, and garlic. The scallion-ginger sauce was over salted and had way way too much oil in it. I tried multiple times to separate the actual ginger and garlic from the oil but was unable to do so.

The food isn't bad. There is a lot of time and effort put into it. However, I wouldn't suggest this as a good place to experience traditional hainanese chicken rice, both for its take on preparing the dish and the (exorbitant) price of the dish.
