Hi I made a neighbourhood discovery. A small unassuming Italian restaurant called Trio, 3239 Yonge Street Toronto. The service was quick and personal, the food was delicious and presented beautifully. It was tasty and subtle. The salads were unusual in the combination of ingredients, the main courses were generous, but not excessive like many N.American restaurants. We recommend their mushrooms and the seafood linguini. Trio is casual, not high priced and has a reasonable selection of wines.

I went to trio 3 times and can't wait to go back. I had different food each time and really enjoyed the all of my choices and the atmosphere. Still high end, and yet casual at the same time. Our visits were great each time; very relaxed and friendly. Professional service with a wine list that speaks for itself, going back in May to try their famous aged steaks.

I had a reservation last evening at this restaurant, along with two of my adult children. When we arrived, the woman in charge advised we would have to sit near an open sliding door. As it was turning chilly, I politely requested it be shut. She seemed very put out , grunted, and shut it partially. I insisted, politely, we couldn't be comfortable , she made no effort to assist.
We chose to leave, and can't understand why miserable people represent an eating establishment.
There are far superior dining experiences to be had in the neighborhood, we dined at Parmeggiano. It was wonderful(Yonge St, west side, north of Lawrence)

We thoroughly enjoyed our dinner at Trio. The food was delicious and the service was friendly and comfortably attentive. The owner cajoled us into upgrading our wine order and made up for upselling by presenting dessert without charge! The tables are close together, but it felt cozy not crowded and we could carry on a conversation easily. We live in the neighbourhood and will be back!

I got a Dealicious voucher for this restaurant and decided to buy it based on the reviews on this website. Unfortunately the service was terrible and the food only mediocre. We placed our drinks and appetizer orders at the same time with our server. Then another server comes by and takes our entrée order. We even told server #2 that we placed a calamari order with server #1, and he told us no problem it will be out shortly. 20 minutes go by and our pizza arrived, but still no calamari. We ask to cancel the calamari order and our server apologizes, but still charges us for it at the end.
Lastly, it seemed that every table but ours had an order of free bread on their table.
