“Go somewhere else”
Reviewed May 9, 2011

I got a Dealicious voucher for this restaurant and decided to buy it based on the reviews on this website. Unfortunately the service was terrible and the food only mediocre. We placed our drinks and appetizer orders at the same time with our server. Then another server comes by and takes our entrée order. We even told server #2 that we placed a calamari order with server #1, and he told us no problem it will be out shortly. 20 minutes go by and our pizza arrived, but still no calamari. We ask to cancel the calamari order and our server apologizes, but still charges us for it at the end.
Lastly, it seemed that every table but ours had an order of free bread on their table.

“Poor service”
Reviewed May 2, 2011

Very nice cozy Italian restaurant with excellent selection of anti pasta, pasta and pizza.
Food was great especially pizza! And also you should try the Tiramisu. The most disappointing part was the service which was very slow and in fact they completely mixed up our order with another table after a long delay. Besides, one of the waiters was so unprofessional and rude to the point that upon serving the food, he kept throwing the dishes in the middle of table and no respect whatsoever. We're in kind of ignorance at that time because we're having fun with all our friends but this is so unacceptable for a restaurant that has lots to offer.

“Perfect anniversary dinner.”
Reviewed September 29, 2010

Fancy drinks and first rate food. The owner Giovani himself would occasionally come out to see how we were doing. Nice music. Nice decor.
I don't know if it's because it was our anniversary or not, but the waiters were really, really attentive. Some water was spilled and 2 of them moved at record speed to replace the table linen.
Hubby took a picture on his cell camera so you can get a bit of an idea what the place looks like. It's cosy, but if you want more room there is an upstairs part as well.
Easy to get to from Lawrence station. Parking is a bit sketchy in that area.

“pizzaioli”
Reviewed December 29, 2008

My name is Francesco, l'm a costumer since Trio pizzeria opened two years ago. I agree with Gina Mellett on the National Post, on the fact that is the best pizza in Toronto, but l need to make a couple of corrections; first Giovanni is not a pizzaiolo, and is not from Naples and even Eduardo is not from Naples. I went there on a tuesday night by chance, the pizzaiolo Romolo was not there, and the pizza was not good as usual.

Trio owners, you have done a great job so far: pizza was always
great, do not change anything, please, because we love it there.

“the best pizza”
Reviewed November 25, 2008

Trio Ristorante Pizzeria, the pizza we had was amazing without
having to travel to Italy to get good pizza. The crust and the topings were to die for. We definely recomend Trio for their pizza
as well as their gnocchi which are made on location, also amazing. Excellent service and made us feel we were in Italy.
