I have visited a number of other Ethiopian restaurants in Toronto. While many have very good food, Sheba is the one I go to most regularly. For those who want to taste a variety of dishes, the customizable veggie or veggie and meat platters are ideal, and offer a great introduction to Ethiopian cuisine for beginners. For those who want to focus on one dish, Sheba does mama shiro and doro tibs better than anywhere else I have been.
The best thing about Sheba is the atmosphere. The restaurant is spacious clean (particularly in comparison to other Ethiopian restaurants in Toronto). It is covered with Ethiopian artifacts and is run by two Ethiopian sisters who are friendly and welcoming. The coffee ceremony is very nicely presented and a great way to finish off a meal.
