“Terry Fox's story never loses any of its luster”

I was on a cross-country road trip when I stopped here, and having just driven along a large part of Terry's route for the first time, I could better appreciate the magnitude of his accomplishment. It's a fitting monument with a great view. And it was one of the only visitor centres in Ontario open at the time of year I was travelling. (It's open all year round.)

“A must when travelling through Thunder Bay”
Reviewed July 3, 2013

The Terry Fox Monument is a very important stop for any kind of traveler. It is very important to know and appreciate what this man did, and what his legacy continues to do today for cancer patients. The monument is very well done; informative inscriptions and the statue looks just like him. You can just stand there and attempt to imagine the pain he went through, his bravery and the determination it must have taken to make such a journey. The monument is free to see of course, and it just takes a minute, so you really have no excuse ;)

“T. Fox Monument, Thunder Bay, ON, CA 2013”
Reviewed June 23, 2013

I kept saying I'd read about his journey over and over again, so finally my brigade stopped to see it. While others were there for the Sleeping Giant lookout, I was drinking in the info on this amazing man. He had such courage and I was glad I went. :)
