Stayed one night; Sept '03. It's 4 or 5 story brick monster, right in the oldest part of downtown. Like in so many other cities, this part of town got real quiet as the city grew away from it's historic center.

Very classy at first, then a bit rough (from age) upon closer inspection. It has a stately charm, and is quiet/comfortable like you'll never find at a Best Westerns or other come-lately cheapo chains, which I loathe. Staying there is like a criuse on the QE2, as opposed to all those generic, white, "Love Boat" cruise ships.

Decent location for food, drink, commerce, etc. considering Thunder Bay is no Montreal or Vancouver. I only ate breakfast in the restaurant, and it was fine. I'd go back. The price was right.
