“Awesome lookout”
Reviewed June 5, 2012

Unfortunately we only had one afternoon to drive and walk around but we followed the recommendation of the ranger in the office (that is where you pay, at the campground, follow the $ and ? sign) to do the sealion trail and drive up to Thunder Bay lookout. The trail was nice and I bet the others are nice aswell. But the drive to the lookout is just an experience nobody will forget. It's a 9 km gravel road but it's worth it. If you are lucky, like we were, you'll see a bear on the way up. The final 300 meters are mostly rock surface and VERY bumpy. Then you park your car and walk a few meters to the lookout, just breathtaking. You stand on top of a cliff, a deck and steelwork allows you to step about two meters over the cliff and about 150 meters above ground you enjoy spectacular views over Lake Superior. It's not only the view, the silence is awesome too.

“Scenic and serene”
Reviewed May 28, 2012

Thoroughly enjoy camping at Sleeping Giant!! Sites are great, never run out of things to do, and just doing nothing is still better there. The staff are friendly, the wildlife even friendlier! The ducks and their ducklings kept us company at every meal, they would come and sit around our table and quack us some dinner music as we ate. The deer are everywhere. Beautiful creatures! Foxes and rabbits. Chipmunks and squirrels that pop in to say hello while you are sitting about!
The prices everywhere for camping are atrocious so I guess it's on par for price as everywhere else!! Go for a hike, take a ride to the Silver Islet store which is a real treat!!
Looking forward to another camping trip or two this season!

“How do you pay?”

There are signs posted everywhere that you need to obtain a park permit, however all the offices were closed. Beautiful scenery, many deer.
