Many good displays and things to do, very nice facility and its a good day out. We enjoyed the animals and trying out the interactive areas, can use a better food option for sure. They should also update areas a little more quickly.

From one geek parent to another, you have to try Science North! We stopped in as part of our March Break family getaway and this place never disappoints. Many, many activities for all ages of children. Geology buffs and rock collectors, technology nerds, builders, budding zoologists, you name it - there are activities and shows that will appeal to you. You can get in for free if you have an Ontario Science Center membership, but it won't include the Imax theatre or parking even if you have a gold membership at the OSC. Also, don't forget to collect items from nature for the nature exchange (and it's free!). Bring in pine cones, seeds, rocks, etc and learn a little about them and your child will earn points to exchange for another items at the center (and there is a lot to choose from). The center is best seen over a 2-3 day period so that you aren't rushed and plan to take pictures and come away impressed by what Science North offers.

My family was in the Sudbury area visiting for the holidays. Science North seemed to be a great place to take our child for the day. There were no lines for any type of activity in the entire place.

A lot of history to this place as well, I remember visiting this place when I was a child in the late 80's. The chart on the wall said I would grow to 6'-1" which was exactly correct. A similar chart showed my son in the 98 percentile which did not surprise me.

A new recent tidbit I learned was that ... Not to often you can visit a Science centre that was officially opened by Queen Elizabeth II of England and her husband Prince Philip.

I recommend Science North as a family adventure, particularly for children up to approximately age 10. If you can, go in the early morning/ at opening on the weekends before the place gets too too busy. Watch for staff to take the porcupine for a walk.

Depending on the time of year you visit, you may or may not have to pay for parking. TONS of exhibits, most are interactive and the staff was very nice, very helpful. We were able to touch some of the smaller animals. I found admission for 4 VERY expensive! If you're local, you could buy the annual membership for the same price as ONE DAY admission!

We brought our lunch and ate in the "sun walk". Wear comfy shoes as you'll do lots of walking. Exhibits for 12mos old to 100 year olds. WILDFIRES in 4D was AWESOME!! Kids loved the insects and butterfly exhibit.

Wheel chair/scooter accessable. LOTS of washrooms. Gorgeous view of the lake.
