My boyfriend and I discovered Boomers on Tripadvisor and decided to visit in late July for a quick snack before our play at the Avon Theatre (which is just a 5 minute walk away). We arrived at around 1:00 PM and ordered the goat cheese poutine to share (which I think was around $5.99 ish).

The fries were EXCELLENT. We've never had anything like it - fries, gravy, goat cheese, basil and olive oil. The service was also fabulous and so friendly! It wasn't too busy when we came, and the cashier actually stepped out from the kitchen, greeting and chatting with everyone while they ate, asking if the food was okay. I've never had service like that in a fast food joint! Decor was simple but welcoming, and the menu full of variety (it was difficult choosing what to order!)

Note, however, that the place isn't very big and has limited seating. I would try visiting during "off-peak" hours so you have a better chance of scoring some chairs or the bench. Otherwise, there are seats and benches outside to eat at if seating is full. Enjoy! :)

We discovered Boomers this year, loved their poutine, and look forward to many more visits. It's just a block from the park along the lake, so we'll take our fries there for a picnic.

We have been going to Stratford for the last 4 years and we were not specifically interested in this place until we saw it on the 'You Gotta Eat Here' show.

We arrived just after it opened on a Saturday. The place was packed! There are a lot of items to choose from which we did not expect. All the prices are great in value. We ended up with the French Poodle burger and Meatball Poutine. Please note, this place takes Cash only.

There is not a lot of seating area, so please be prepared to take it to go or eat it outside and wish for good weather. You may have to also wait outside for your food as it is fairly warm inside.

The burger is smaller than I thought, but was fairly good. A bit heavy on the mustard, and I usually don't mind a fair amount. It comes with Brie cheese and back/peameal bacon. The poutine was also good. The wife liked the marinara sauce a lot. It's not too sloppy/soggy. Unfortunately, the sauce and ingredients don't quite make it to the bottom of the styrofoam bowl.

Again, great value though. The food wasn't bad, but does not live up to the hype that the show has portrayed. We will be going back to Stratford and we will try other items on the menu.
