Description: For three decades The Keystone Alley Café has continually evolved, from its start as a small coffee shop into the popular casual fine dining restaurant that you see today. The Keystone Alley Cafe was named after the well-known Keystone Bakery located on these premises earlier. The 'alley' in the current name describes the area adjacent to the restaurant used for patio dining in the summer months. The Keystone Alley Cafe strives to provide a family style menu of fresh, bold flavoured foods, while supporting locally and sustainably. Over the years, many improvements have been made, including the addition of the "Key'd Inn", a spacious two bedroom suite rental situated above the restaurant.

We went here on a Thursday night and it was quite quiet. In saying that the Theatre season in Stratford is over now, so most places will be quiet. The service was great and so was the food. To Start we had the Roasted Tomato soup and the duck and Foie gras parfiat. Both were delicious.

For the mains we had a steak with the best French fries I have tasted in Stratford, and Smoked salmon with beetroot which is actually a starter, but is also sufficient for a main. The presentation of the Smoked Salmon dish is incredible and very skilfully done. The Chef comes from Sheffield in England and has obviously cooked at a high level.

We finished with a liqueur and at $80 we thought it was well worth it. We will be going back that's for sure.

We needed to book a place to have dinner in Stratford on November 1st, and we found it a bit difficult given a lot of businesses close after theatre season is over. In fact, we had picked a couple of other restaurants first. Despite it not being our original first choice, we did have a great dinner. We were the first table they had, and even by the time we left the place did not seem that busy, so service was definitely spot-on. We never had to wait for anything. The food itself, didn't disappoint. There were three soups to choose from and the dinner party picked all three kinds, which were all great. There were a lot of steaks ordered, and here is where the only bad point was scored: one of the orders were screwed up. We got one extra strip loin steak instead of a fillet mignon. The menu was divided between a set of prix-fix choices and a la carte. I must say the hardest choice was to pick a dessert because they all sounded great. Great place for a meal in Stratford, most surely.

We have eaten here every year for at least 5 years. The food is always delicious and presented beautifully. The service is outstanding as well. I feel that it is the best restaurant in Stratford for selections and value.

We've been going here for years. The patio is lovely this year, a floral paradise. The lunch menu is good. Service was quick and pleasant. We had the quiche which was pretty good. There's a decent range of beers. And you couldn't be closer to the Avon and Studio Theatres.
