Description: For three decades The Keystone Alley Café has continually evolved, from its start as a small coffee shop into the popular casual fine dining restaurant that you see today. The Keystone Alley Cafe was named after the well-known Keystone Bakery located on these premises earlier. The 'alley' in the current name describes the area adjacent to the restaurant used for patio dining in the summer months. The Keystone Alley Cafe strives to provide a family style menu of fresh, bold flavoured foods, while supporting locally and sustainably. Over the years, many improvements have been made, including the addition of the "Key'd Inn", a spacious two bedroom suite rental situated above the restaurant.

Keystone Alley has some of the finest food in Stratford. Its dishes are elegant, and the restaurant has been consistent for years. The decor is excellent; the service is impeccable. Fair warning: have a reservation. It is very, very popular.

The Keystone is a chef-owned bistro of long standing. For good reasons. When I want a quiet, intimate meal, I go here.
The menu is very bistro with great prix-fixe deals in the off-season. The quality is very good. The wines are discerned and thoughtfully paired.
The sound level ranges from quiet to reasonable, thank God -- what a relief from the racket in so many places.
The decor is subdued and comfortable, relaxed and intimate.
The service is attentive, if sometimes a bit distant. (Which is a good thing, if you're tired of over-familiar servers.)
The clientele tends to be older, because they recognize value and quality. But don't let this put you off if you aren't in that demographic, I am always glad when I've made this choice.

I recently dined at Keystone Alley Cafe for dinner. I have been there before for lunch on several occasions, but this was my first time for dinner. The food choices are so diverse. After much pondering, I chose to order from the Bistro menu. I had shrimp cocktail for an appetizer, butternut squash risotto cakes for my main, and creme brûlée trio for dessert. Everything was exceptionally good. The other two women in my party also raved about their meals. Highly recommend this restaurant!

Excellent chefs and a warm and cosy atmosphere with plenty of privacy for seperate diners. Food is top-notch and the portions were just the right size. Expensive but well worth it as a place to take someone for a special celebration.

This is a place we really enjoy each year for lunch in Stratford. The food is consistently fresh, well-prepared and delicious. It also has a lovely, modern decor, and a number of nice, fairly private tables.
