It's like a home away from home. We stay in the room on the first floor for my mother's convenience. The B&B is spotless, welcoming and very comfortable. The breakfasts are amazing, fresh fruit, fresh juices and unique entree each time. Kim and Kevin couldn't be more warm and friendly. And it's been a joy to see their charming son as he grows up. The porch on the second floor overlooking the garden is a relaxing place to spend some time. The front room with the CD player, a nice collection of music, magazines, and some beverages and water to enjoy - a great place to relax at various times of the day. Many people return year after year and they are often very friendly and fun to get to know.

Hosts Kim & Kevin take B&B to a whole nother level. A welcome combination of graciousness, hospitality, service, and privacy. They know Stratford—the festival, restaurants, and nooks—but, more importantly, they are Stratford. Their lovely establishment is reason enough to go there as a respite. They are both professional cooks, and the breakfasts flourished with homemade yogurts and preserves and waffles light as air with elderberry syrup and a cherry upside-down buttermilk cake baked fresh that morning. The backyard is lush with colour, a common area for reading or lively conversation with the most interesting guests. There's a coach house and rooms with balconies and a fish pond and a box turtle and, of course, the theatre awaits within walking distance. A haven to return to again and again.

The Old Rectory is a charming, beautiful and welcoming B&B in Stratford. I send my parents there for a weekend every year as their Christmas, Birthday, Mom & Dad days gift (all rolled into one). They go to celebrate their anniversary and to catch some shows at the Festival.

Kim and Kevin are warm and welcoming. Their place feels like you have entered someone's home. A person who is very, very happy to see you.

The rooms are charming and beautiful. The beds are comfortable and the meals are absolutely delicious.

In over 10 years my parents have never asked to go anywhere else for their gift. They enjoy Kim and Kevin's company and their hospitality. I think that my parent's feel that they are like family. And it certainly seems that way by the very special touches that Kim & Kevin do for my parents when they are visiting.

As a final note, the Old Rectory has been such a special place to my parents and I that for my parents 50th Anniversary I could think of no other place that would be more representative to hold their reception. Kim & Kevin helped make our celebration uniquely special and a day to remember. It was perfect!

For years, The Old Rectory has been our home for a week each year during the Stratford Shakespeare Festival. Kim and Kevin Gormley (and their son Conor) are wonderful hosts, generous and hospitable. Kevin is a superb chef. Our group has varied in size from six to a dozen, and the Gormleys have bent over backwards to meet our needs as well as our whims. My only hesitation in submitting this review is that it might attract more guests, and thus make future reservation planning even more challenging.
