“Always Great”
Reviewed June 25, 2013

Have stayed here three times, and it has always been great. Nice, large, clean rooms. Very friendly, helpful, and accommodating staff at the front desk. The restaurant compares favorably with any in town, and the Sunday Brunch is awesome!!!

When we book our theatre tickets for the season, we always book the Arden Park along with them. Wouldn't stay anywhere else in Stratford.

The staff was great really helpful, the room looked beautiful, the bed was very comfortable slept like a log. But the bathroom in 504 needed 3 things fixed nothing major just normal wear and tare things. The tap for the shower needed to be tighten, I had the water perfect but it got colder because the tap was coming down. The boarder just needs a bite of glue to glue the edge back down, and last the ceiling the paint is pealing, but I'd go back in a minute. The food so awesome and the service great.
Loved the fax that they still have an iron and ironing board so many places don't have that any more.

We've been coming here almost every year for the Shakespeare Festival since it opened. We've tried a couple of other places in town and keep coming back here. The only downside is that is must be the only place in the region to hold a wedding as we've yet to be here on a weekend (the only time we come) when there wasn't a wedding party which means you won't get a parking spot near the entrance and wedding guests usually fill the hotel so be sure to book early if you want a weekend room.

The rooms are clean and well apportioned. However there aren't any free outlets near the bed so you can charge your phone and use it as an alarm clock. I plugged my phone in near the table and turned off the swag light with the wall switch. I was very surprised the next morning that my phone wasn't charged - apparently the light switch also turned off the outlet. Luckily I had time to charge it in the bathroom before I had to leave.

We don't usually eat at the hotel because we don't eat breakfast and have dinner in town - but the dining room is usually busy when we pass by and they do a big Sunday Brunch business.

Room Tip: I'd pick a room away from the elevators as people tend to congregate there and it is noisier.

Stayed for business in June 2013. This was not during the peak 'Stratford season' so I was able to get a room, no problem. Very pleasant staff, good, efficient check in procedure. TIP - make a reservation, ask if you can get a room not on the first floor. Not certain if there are rooms on the first floor, but there is lots of activity.
Rooms are large, well appointed, clean and well kept. they have a nice looking restaurant in the hotel, but I ate nearby - lots or eating places to choose from downtown. They have a pool just off the lobby which looked OK, but I did not use. Handy, small computer desk in the lobby which is helpful for printing directions, etc.
I think the best description would be that this is a charming, classic style hotel. Reasonable price and very much worth a visit.

Spent a night at this hotel while in town with my son's baseball team. The rooms were remarkably spacious. The decor is not modern but certainly clean and well-maintained. The staff seemed a little overwhelmed and stressed; perhaps the combination of a wedding group, theatre visitors and two baseball teams all in the facility for the night was too much. It was pricier than we normally spend for nights away with the team, but I think theatre season probably makes Stratford expensive so the deal was pretty good in that context.

I stayed at this hotel from May 26-31, 2013 due to taking a course in Stratford. The hotel is very clean and the room was very well appointed. The beds, pillows and bed covers were very comfortable and clean. The staff was friendly and my overall stay was very good. The decor is not modern and trendy but rather elegant and classic. Although it is not to my taste, it is still well decorated and very clean. The large bathtub was particularly nice, as it is deeper than most. The location was very good as it is close to downtown (walking distance) and a nearby park, as well as the mall and fast food restaurants, if that is what you are looking for. I did not eat at the restaurant. I will be back to stay should I have another course to attend.

Arden Park Hotel is new and nice. The room was spacious but the windows were small; I wish more natural light could come in.

The decor was quite lovely, especially the chandelier but the quality of the linens and finishes was just average.

The bathroom had a nice deep bathtub which I loved but I can imagine it would be difficult to get into for someone with limited mobility.

The meal options in the dining room were nice, especially for breakfast; they were willing to accommodate the vegetarians/vegans in our group, but it took quite a bit of negotiation.

The pool/whirlpool area was nice. Beware of the "fitness room." It is merely 2 treadmills, 2 other machines, which were not very well maintained, and a TV. For exercise I did the hotel stairs...

The front desk staff was not very attentive or helpful at all.

This hotel is definitely a very good value- it's convenient to the Festival Theater (a bit less convenient to the town center, but on a nice day it makes for a very pleasant walk) and has the basic amenities I'd look for in a full service hotel. Our stay was pleasant but not outstanding.
