After taking in Billy Elliot at the 2pm show we went and got tickets at the Avon Theatre box office for "The Little Shop Of Horrors" This play was fantastic, off the wall and the performers brilliant. The sets were amazing and colorful. Highly recommend this musical.

My wife and I have attended the Startford Festival for more than twenty-five years. On our annual visit, we see four to six plays. At the Avon Theater this year we saw "Little Shop of Horrors" and "Private Lives." "Little Shop" is a hoot. It is fun and funny. Audrey II, the ever-growing plant puppet, is the star of the show, but the rest of the cast are all outstanding. I didn't see a weak part in the group. "Private Lives", a Noel Coward play, is more sophisticated humor. The cast of five tell a story of lives which have little substance. It is fun and thought-provoking at the same time. "Little Shop" is exciting, but don't overlook "Private Lives." Please note that the Avon is a very traditional theater--a beautiful traditional theater.

Great show in a great venue. The animatronics in the plant were fantastic. They had 3 different versions of the plant and all of them worked really well.

We M and B and I had a wonderful time in Stratford (Canada) yesterday. Both of the productions (Never Ending Story and Little Shop of Horrors) were top quality and very worth seeing, but the people were what pushed it over into truly a wonderful time. Everyone was SO kind and nice and helpful. Sometimes it's easy to forget that there are people like that. So, special thanks to the staff and volunteers at the Avon theatre. They not only made sure all was okay throughout our day there, but also magically produced 3 seats in the accessible area at 6pm, for Little Shop of Horrors for Saturday's 8pm show! They were all amazingly kind and caring and even gave Audrey 2 to my daughter to hold: her dream came true! :D Thanks too, to the very talented actress, singer and dancer who took the time after the show to spend time talking with us, even though she must've been exhausted after a long day of shows. It was a truly happy, memorable day.

My husband and I had an excellent dinner at the Keystone Alley restaurant recently. Following, we took a 3-minute walk to the Avon Theatre to see Little Shop of Horrors. The cast gave outstanding performances. The musical has a quirky story but the music is very catchy. I highly recommend this very entertaining production.
