My husband and I recently had a little getaway in scenic Stratford, Ontario. The Parlour was an awesome choice for our accomodations. The room was spotless and spacious, very comfortable beds and chairs. We especially liked the huge bathtub. Also, accessing the Internet was very simple with the instructions provided by the front desk.
We're really looking forward to our next trip to Stratford and The Parlour!

We stayed one night at the Parlour. The staff are very friendly and the inn is great - an old inn with lots of upgrading. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and we'll be back. We have stayed at a few other places in Stratford and this was definitely the best.

Very interesting hotel. My husband and I really enjoyed the old-fashioned atmosphere and decorations throughout.
Restaurant was excellent for both food and service.
Room was beautiful ... but it was freezing cold! It was missing a panel to cover the vent that circulated air from the outside in the nicer weather. (It was like having a 7" open hole in the wall!) Reported it to management, and were extremely disappointed when the maintenance guy showed up with a piece of (thin) paper and some tape in order to fix it.
The heaters in the room were good enough to keep it warm during our stay ... however that piece of paper did not block out the noise from the street outside.
We were woken up by street noise at 7am, and got to listen to the constant beep-beep-beep of a reverse warning signal of forklift in the area. I hated being woken up early on my one chance to sleep in. It was supposed to be a restful getaway from our 5 kids.
Constant street-noise was very upsetting. Reported it all to front desk when we checked out, and were assured that management would contact us ... but nobody ever did! Very, very disappointing.

Hello, we are very sad to hear that the temperature and noise problems caused by the jacuzzi exhaust vent ruined what seemed to start off as a great experience at my hotel. As most of our reviews show we generally are very diligent with maintenance and customer service issues. But obviously we had a maintenance issue and did not deal with it, or contact you after the fact.

I would like an opportunity to try to make it up to you, if you could contact me at the hotel at your convenience.
thank you

I expect at their prices to have bathrobes and a breakfast covered in the room charge. This is a clean comfortable hotel but it is no more than a 3 star. I would rather stay at the Mercer Inn where fresh fruit, cookies, real coffee and tea are provided in the room and you get breakfast as well in their restaurant. Best Western is just a chain. I will say that their staff is very pleasant.

Hello, thank you for your review. We are very happy to hear that you found our property clean and comfortable and that our staff is very pleasant. Our property does offer different amenities that the one that you have mentioned, which include 24 hour front desk, our own parking lot and an elevator. Though Best Western is a chain we are owner operated and we believe that (most) of our reviews show the experience that we offer

A very old inn with a lot of character. Our room (212) was spacious and well appointed with firm but comfortable beds. Bathroom has a large jet tub, upgraded fixtures. Freshly painted and decorated nicely. Lots of clean white fluffy towels. Most of all, really clean! Given the age of this building, it smelled and looked clean and fresh. Bar/restaurant downstairs has been kept original with gorgeous wood restored lovingly and reminded me of a pub I went to in Edinborough Scotland quite a few years ago. Staff were wonderful. The receptionist offered umbrellas to us as we were heading out in the rain. Breakfast of French toast on fruit was delicious and so was the coffee. There isn't a pool here, so I wouldn't recommend it for children, but it is a lovely place to stay nonetheless. Downtown shopping is a short walk up the street.

My husband and I went to Stratford for our anniversary and enjoyed every minute of our stay at the Best Western Parlour Inn & Suites. You can really see the pride of ownership throughout the property and even with the handout presented at check-in. The rooms were clean and comfortable. We ate dinner at their restuarant and enjoyed every bite. All of the staff were very friendly and helpful as well. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone that is traveling to Stratford - for business or leisure.

This place is greatly located in downtown stratford. We arrived early and they were comprehensive and gave us a room early to change and visit the town. THAT IS GOOD SERVICE. The rooms were clean but a bit small because it is an historic building.
