“Perfect for the Stratford Festival”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 10, 2014

My family stayed here for a night in order to see a Saturday evening play and a Sunday matinee. The manor is comfortable and private, and is located in a beautiful neighborhood that is a short drive or nice walk to downtown shops and restaurants. We stayed in Windemere, a two-bedroom suite that was more like an apartment. Everything was clean and spacious. The front garden is beautiful. The innkeeper is nice, interesting and does not intrude. It was a very pleasant experience for all three of us, and we would love to stay here again.

My sister and I attended the Stratford Festival for four days. We stayed at the Agincourt. It is a beautiful accommodation - a turn of the century home that has been beautifully restored. We had a two bedroom suite - with two large bedrooms, very comfortable beds, full kitchen, living room. Lots of room. A nice walk to the theatres and downtown - through residential areas and along the river. We had an excellent full cooked breakfast - again, very high quality food prepared perfectly. The host, Terry, is a delightful person. Very helpful and knowledgeable. We enjoyed our conversations with him! We will definitely return.

My 2 teenage daughters aged 15 and 19, and I wanted to do a "girls overniter" together to see a play and shop. I wanted to introduce them to a Bed and Breakfast style of stay for a change. I picked the Agincourt after reading the great reviews . The Manor is situated in a very stately, peaceful part of Stratford. We were approx. a 10 minute walk to downtown, if you cross the street and walk down the small hill, you can take a path through a park along the river .It was a lovely walk. The suite we picked was on the 2nd floor through a separate entrance and was private, very spacious and clean. Free WIFI was a bonus! I would recommend this suite especially for a longer stay. The wrap around front porch would be the perfect place to sit with your early morning coffee and feel right at home. Our host Terry was very friendly and helpful, a perfect host! Our breakfast was tasty and satisfying. Although we did not use the pool because the weather was chilly, it was clean and private. My two daughters thought it was a great experience and would be open to staying at a B & B in the future. I would highly recommend that you consider this property, you will not be disappointed :)

My husband, two daughters and I stayed for 4 days at the Agincourt Manor and strongly recommend it. The house is well cared for, large and the suite we were in was very nice. My husband loved the easy parking; my daughters had easy access to downtown Stratford during the day. While close to the theaters, it is on a side street. The house sits back from the street and it was quiet. A lovely experience that we will remember -- oh and the food was great. Lots of fruit which was important to me.

Room Tip: The suites were very large and worth the extra payment. It was nice to have a large living room and...

We have stayed at this B and B twice. The location is within walking distance of downtown Stratford and all of the theatres. This is a restored century home. The suites are in a separate 'tower'. The hosts are very friendly and quite helpful. They are like your personal concierge. Everyone at the B and B raved about the hosts and their B and B. We had the king suite on our first visit and a two-bedroom suite on our second visit. Both had a fireplace, a kitchen and a separate living room.
The full breakfast was excellent. Fresh fruit, home baking, and a hot dish were all served with a smile. We used the pool on our second visit. This B and B is a great value for the money. Two doors down from this B and B is another, very nice and quite similar B and B, that charges twice as much without providing the kitchen and full living room. This is a restored century home. You won't find marble counter-tops and glass shower stalls. You will enjoy a wonderful retreat with room to spread out ,and all the comforts of home at your disposal. FREE WIFI is a real PLUS. There is a wrap-around porch and lovely gardens. Since the house is set quite far back from the road, it is very peaceful and the perennial gardens make for a park-like setting.

I hesitate to write this review since I may not find any suites available the next time I want to stay here :)

The plays at Stratford are 100% professional and just as good, if not better than those at the Shaw. Be sure to buy a membership to the Stratford festival in order to get in on the pre-sale events of the better tickets and to support the arts.

The town is charming. The lake and trails around it are like walking around in a picture book. It is very safe, secure, and serene.

They have a web site which you'll find if you just search for "Agincourt Manor Stratford". There you'll find lots of pictures of the house and the suites.
