“Great stay”

First trip to Stratford with our 13 year old granddaughter. Wonderful stay and an excellent intro for her to non chain lodging. For her age she is well travelled, but this B&B was a new treat. Host William has decorated with souvenirs of years of cruising the world. Still, the breakfasts are true to local seasonal produce and served with true friendliness and interest. I was glad this was Lily's intro to personalized travel experiences

The Queen and Albert, our third experience of accommodations in Stratford, is by far the most satisfying. A spacious, comfortable suite with its large modern bathroom is matched by gracious dining and guest living rooms, all of which live up to the photos in every way. The place looks wonderful from the outside, too. Its many charms are enhanced by the friendly and relaxed owner, William Broad, whose hospitality is exceeded only by his skills in the kitchen. Victoria and Albert themselves would have enjoyed this exceptional B&B. It has easily become our first choice in Stratford, our home away from home.

Room Tip: Three rooms are up a flight of carpeted and well-lit stairs. There's one room on the main floor...

Glad you both enjoyed your stay and thanks for the review as I know you had difficulty posting it. Look forward to seeing you both again, hopefully in 2013 but realize I am not close! Thanks again!

We've stayed here several times - this past year was our first with the new owner, and the quality has not slipped one bit. Clean and comfortable room, excellent breakfast, charming and knowledgeable host with good recommendations for lunch and dinner spots. Our main reason for coming here the first time was because it's in walking distance of all the theatres, but it's the friendliness and comfort of the Q&A that keeps us coming back. Enjoying a glass of wine on a spring evening on the balcony - just lovely.

Room Tip: - each room has its own decor - check out the website

This is only the second time we've ever stayed at a B&B, and we were very glad to have chosen the Queen & Albert. From taking us to and from the train station to accommodating special dietary restrictions, our host worked hard and succeeded in making us feel comfortable. He shared his travel stories and dry wit when guests were in the mood to socialize; he provided very tasty breakfasts despite his claims of not being a chef. We stayed in the New York Suite (the largest of the rooms) and found it to be clean, well stocked with amenities (incl. free wifi), and fabulously decorated with items from our host's Asian travels. The Q&A was about a 15 minute walk to downtown Stratford and a 5 to 10 minute walk to Festival Theatre - quite convenient. Just watch out for sparsely-lit street corner when walking back from the theatre or pub at night. We enjoyed our stay and hope to come back the next time we visit Stratford.

The rooms are lovely and the breakfast is special. Each party has their own table, but by the time breakfast is over, we have shared dining and theatre experiences. We have found this to be helpful and enjoyable. Something I like best is the common room on the first floor. It is light, comfortable with classical music playing softly. Q&A is our first choice in Stratford. I might add, it's location is perfect for walking to the theatres and restaurants.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Queen & Albert Bed and breakfast! It is in a nice neighborhood and our room was clean with all the amenities we could need. The decor is traditional/ecclectic, tastefully done and comfortable (you can see all of the rooms on the web site). Refreshments are always available in the dining room and the lobby area provides a nice area for visiting or relaxing. Our host was friendly and we enjoyed our conversations about his travels and ours. The environment was friendly and the breakfast was wonderful! He provides healthy choices with fresh fruit and fresh breads. I appreciated that he gratitously accommodated my special diet. The location was great! Parking is included, which saves you some extra parking fees at the venues. We saw two plays while we were there and they were well within comfortable walking distance. We had a great time and hope to return next summer!

Room Tip: In Stratford, Ontario choose accommodations with parking and within walking distance to the theatres...

We stayed once again at the Q&A this summer for our Stratford weekend with friends. The New York suite was improved once again, and the lobby area was welcoming, great for discussing the plays with our old friends and for making new ones. William has done wonders with a facility which was in very good shape to begin with. We look forward to returning next summer for more good food, relaxing accommodations, and close proximity to the theaters, restaurants and shopping.

Room Tip: The New York Suite is in the back away from the entry way, and has a side door to the balcony, weath...
