“Great B&B”
Reviewed July 22, 2012

We spent four days at The Queen and Albert. What a great place...impecabbly clean and spacious rooms with ensuite bathrooms. Each day we were served a different sumptuous breakfast. Close to all resturants and only a five minte walk from Festival Theatre. We'll be back and that is for sure!

I am glad you both enjoyed your first Stratford experience! I like to think of Stratford as being offered as a package: a great B&B of course lol but also the fantastic high quality theatre, the fabulous restaurants, quality shopping and wonderful walking areas along the river and more! I am glad you enjoyed and look forward to seeing you both next year.

From the Thyme and flower gardens to the greeting of William, to the delightful rooms, to the beautiful breakfasts, everything was excellent. I am looking forward to staying here again soon. Thank you William for a delightful time. Joyce Figg

I am so glad you enjoyed your stay Joyce. As for the thyme, the bonus is that when cars drive over it,driveway being a little narrow, it smells great! Hope to see you again somethyme! lol

Was there on business for a few days. William was a wonderful host and the breakfasts were absolutely delicious. William was also happy to accommodate my dietary restrictions. The rooms are large, impeccably clear and very comfortable. Well situated and a pleasure. Would return in a heartbeat.

We stayed in the New York room. The Queen and Albert was great. William is such an accomodating and interesting host, well informed and a great cook! The B&B is located convenient (walking distance) to all theaters and restaurants. We hope to go back to Stratford, and when we do, we will stay at the Q&A.

We booked this B&B as a get away weekend, to enjoy the Stratford Theatre and celebrate our wedding anniversary. The acccomodation was charming, spotless and rooms large and comfortable. The room was very nicely decorated. There is a comfortable sitting and breakfast area just for the guests, where you feel comfortable coming and going as you wish.
Our breakfasts had cereals (if you felt the need) fresh seasonal fruit and a delicious hot option all served with excellent coffee.
This B&B is about a 10 minute walk to the downtown shops or the theatres. The small fridge in the room gave us a place to keep our market purchases.

My wife and I stayed in the Paris room at the Queen and Albert for two nights. William, the owner, was courteous and very pleasant to speak with. The breakfasts were fantastic, they included strong coffee (a necessity for me), a large selection of fruits, yogurts and cereals in addition to whatever William was whipping up in the kitchen as the main course.
The room we stayed in was large and had a Juliet balcony that opens on to the main floor of the B&B. There was also a large deck attached to our room which was great to sit and read on. Be warned it is shared with the adjacent room, but it was nice to meet our neighbours.
Overall we had a great experience. Wonderful host, delicious breakfast and a great night sleep.

It took me a long time to get around to writing this, but I have been wanting to for a while. My husband and I received a gift certificate to stay here for a wedding present, along with a certificate for dinner and a show. Being a bit strapped for cash, we were really excited about the possibility of a night away. We found a time we could go, and excitedly called to book, only to find that the ownership had changed. Apparently, when businesses change owners, they don't have to honour old gift certificates. We were initially crushed, but the owner called us back and told us he would honour it, in the spirit of being a good host. Definitely good PR.
The decor of this B&B is fresh and inviting, the breakfast creative and yummy, and the rooms comfortable. Surprisingly quiet. The conversation at breakfast was great - the owner has traveled a LOT and both gives good tips and wants to hear about other people's experiences.
We really appreciated the owner's willingness to honour our gift certificate and wedding present...it made for a special weekend away for us. We would highly recommend this location to anyone coming to Stratford for the weekend, or even longer.
