We went down to Stratford for a weekend of plays, food and wine. We'd left it late and many of the places we had previously stayed were booked. I checked around and came across this place and we booked it. Turned out to be a very lucky find!
This B &B has really only been open one season. The house has therefore been newly set up as a B&B and they did a great job. It is very comfortable, book lined and casual. There is a lot of art throughout the house (mostly for sale). The house is just across the bridge / right across from the Shakespearean Gardens on the River Avon. You can easily walk to the main drag, the Square or to the Avon Theatre. A short drive to the other theatres.
We ended up skipping breakfast, but there is one included with your room. There is a friendly dining room on the main floor (as well as a communal lounge). From what we heard from others, the food was great. The piece of banana bread they gave us to go was yummy.
Stayed in the Grover Suite: it was like a long apartment. A nice bedroom with closet, sitting area and a big bathroom, with clawfoot tub/shower. Very nice.
I will certainly stay here again.More
