“We'll be back again and again!”

My husband and I have stayed at Hugson Hall twice now, each time was exquiste.
The house itself is stunning, but it's the hosts that make staying at Hughson Hall extra memorable.
The food was amazing and Clinton and Ross offered us many suggestions on what to see and do around Stratford.
We stayed in the East Wing, the room is beautiful and the bed was one of the most comfortable ones I've ever been in.
We'll definitly be back!

We swung into Stratford to catch a preview of West Side Story, and were extremely lucky to stay at Hughson Hall for two nights. We felt like royalty! Clinton and Ross were wonderful hosts, the food was terrific, and our room was beautiful. We can't recommend this Bed and Breakfast highly enough!

From the moment we arrived, the hosts at Hughson Hall went above & beyond to make sure that our Wedding Weekend was more than we ever dreamed it to be. The house is simply beautiful (making our pictures to die for), the food was delectable (not just the amazing breakfast, but yummy snacks along the way) and the service was incredible (they truly pay attention to every little detail!) All this before your head even hits the comfy pillows that truly whisk you into dreamland.

If you’re looking for a place to have a smaller wedding, or a place to stay if you’re being married in the Stratford area, Hughson Hall is the top of the charts!

Keep this place in mind for any type of getaway – it’s certainly worth every penny! We LOVED it!!

My wife and I try to spend a long weekend in Stratford each year, primarily to see several plays and enjoy the relaxing, civilized surroundings. My wife had the chore of locating a suitable B&B and ones in which we had stayed in the past were booked (we needed two rooms, one for us and one for brother and his wife.) This new B and B had availability and while we hesitated over the price the description and appearance from the website encouraged us to "splurge." It is well worth the price, and then some. The home is beautiful and sufficiently close to "downtown" that we could walk. Both suites are luxurious with extremely comfortable beds. But best of all are the hosts, who greeted us with an elegant snack and leave beverages and further snacks available at all times. They are extremely gracious, friendly and interesting. The breakfasts are outstanding (we stayed three nights and each morning was a new exceptional menu.)

I was treated to a fantastic 70th birthday treat - two plays at Stratford and two unbelievable nights at Hughson Hall.

Right off the bat we were genuinely welcomed and greeted most warmly by Clinton as he carried our luggage into the house. Soon after we met the other partner in the business, Ross, who was just as aimiable and friendly.

The house took our breaths away from the first glimpse - a big old Victorian home with beautiful, appropriate decor... from the living and dining rooms to the winding wooden staircase to our room.

Our room was exquisite, with a canopied king-sized very comfortable bed and again appropriate decor. Sunlight flooded through the bay window. We didn't mind at all that our private bathroom was actually a step or two from our room. And beside that was a sitting room.

Before we knew it we were served a snack and tea. After dinner and a play we returned to find our bed turned down, welcoming lights turned on and a bottle of wine and chocolate on the night table.

The next morning we were served a breakfast second to none, (taking into account my low-salt diet) in the elegant, chandeliered dining room. Clinton is an amazing cook and enjoys creating what i would call masterpieces. This was one of the times when we had a most interesting conversation with both him and Ross.

When we returned to Hughson Hall late the second afternoon, we were invited to join them in the gazebo where, once again, wine and cheese were served. The large lawns and bushes surrounding the house made it feel like a sanctuary.

We actually hated to leave the next day. We felt totally spoiled in every way. I wouldn't hesitate a moment to return or recommend this place.

  • Liked — The ambience and friendliness of the owners.
  • Disliked — Because of my disability, climbing the stairs to our bedroom, but it wouldn't stop me from going again
