This place is a throw back to when dinner out was an event. Nick is always around and ensures your dinner experience is wonderful.
Make sure you get the Caesar Salad "show".

You could easily drive by this place (as I have done so many times before) and not realize how great it really is. This place is like a step back in time to the 70's. The service was outstanding! The French Canadian waitrees from New Brunswick made all the difference. Her personality an wit were a perfect match for the restaurant. The appetizers were outstanding! The Scampi dish was served to perfection. For dessert they even offer Cherries Jubilee or Baked Alaska!! Who does that anymore? The Cherries Jubilee is prepared right at your table (along with the Caesar Salad). After dinner there's even a piano bar downstairs. Well done but pricey!!

I used to go to the Blue Mermaid often .....many many years ago. I recently took a friend for lunch and very much enjoyed the whole ensemble. The wine, the bread, the appetizer, the lunch and dessert was top notch. Good times and great memories.

We eat here a few times a year, and several years ago my husband proposed there with the help of our waiter !

The menu is pricy, but the food is consistently great.

The menu is perfectly old school, as is the decor, in a classic way...you imagine mob bosses dining here !

We have eaten almost everything on the menu, and have never been disappointed.

After dinner, pop downstairs to the piano lounge for a drink...the pianist is wonderful , and again...you will be looking around the room for Tony Soprano !

Impecable service and excellent food - wine server very knowledgeable. Lobster dainties & steak as good as you can get! After dinner music by pianist Eddie Pizzo in the lounge.
