We went to Wind for the first time over the weekend having sampled the Sushi on offer at pretty much every Sushi restaurant in the Niagara Region.
It was an excellent experience and the food was top quality. The decor is modern and open plan but atmospheric and will definitely be a hit for friends on a night out in the city. It is louder then some of the other Sushi restaurants in the city but it adds to the atmosphere from my perspective (although for couples looking for a quiet, romantic evening it may not be entirely to your liking). I also like the fact that the kitchen is open plan to the restaurant so you can go up and see what the chef's are doing (I like the fact that nothing is hidden away behind closed doors).
The service is good (many of the staff have moved over from East which is another Sushi restaurant next door.... both are owned by the same owners) although I eat enough Sushi to be on first name terms with the staff :).
The food is excellent and the big difference here is that not only do they serve sushi but they also service authentic Thai cuisine as well. The sushi is always fresh with the tempura shrimp being a (unhealthy) favourite as well as the white tuna sushi. The Thai cuisine is also very good, the basil beef and the thai chicken skewers are also favourites.
The Thai cuisine is very good but if your looking for an authentic Thai restaurant in the area Pomolo in Burlington is the best we have been to by some distance (although its not all you can eat).
For and all you can eat restaurant you will not beat it for price, service and quality of food.
