We stayed there overnight last week coming out of Toronto late (after Tigers trounced the Jays) on our way to the U.S. Perfect, comfortable and very clean accommodation at a reasonable price. We would not hesitate to book again and highly recommend.
Stayed here as 3 including a young child. Service was fantastic, and were very accommodating when trying to situate the kid for the night.
Check-in was a breeze, and the hotel's location - though off the highway - is not noisy and the property was very well-kept by management and housekeeping staff.
We liked the location for two main reasons - this is pretty good location for a mid-sized town where there's really nowhere to stay downtown, and 2, there are area attractions including the beaches at P. Dalhousie and other restaurants/parks/etc...that make the 'central' location of this place pretty sweet. Took no longer than 10mins to get really anywhere we wanted, including downtown to the Market on Saturday (just 5 min drive down the street) and the Welland Canal (10-15mins) west.
Great stay...they deserve top ranking in this South Ont. town.
My boyfriend and I have stayed at he capri on several occasions. Mary has always been very nice and very helpful when we needed anything. The rooms were clean and she always gave us the water view when available. Good going Mary. You are a credit to any employer. The only negative thing I can say is, the pillows are a little on the hard side.
My sister and I were on a road trip and stayed there a night. Mary and her crew were wonderful Friendly the rooms were clean and the grounds were neat and lovely.
Although they didn't have a restaurant on site. There was one across the street that they recommended and the restaurant actually gave a discount from the recommendation... So that was just the icing on the cake.
Would we return. YOU BET.
We stayed overnight at the Capri Inn and were thrilled with the experience. The rate was excellent, the room spacious and spotlessly clean, the beds comfortable and the welcome at reception couldn't have been friendlier. Highly recommended!
Located right off of the QEW makes this a nice easy location to get to. From the outside it looks clean. The rooms must have been updated recently as the carpet, bedding, and furniture all look new. Bathroom is small due to this being an older building.
Only negative comment is that outside each room (on the upper floor at least) is an ugly chair and ashtray beside it. This just brought the place down a level. Looked rather cheap and dirty. Management should discourage this if possible.
Nice free cold snacks for breakfast, lots of parking and overall nice and quiet.
