“Soooo yummy in the Soo!”
Reviewed July 24, 2014 via mobile

We stopped in here for dinner on our way thru the Soo after looking on Trip Advisor....and so happy we did. Outside appearances do nothing for what you will find inside. Meals ranged in price from $14 to $21. Portions were perfect. They had a good variety on the menu with tons of flavour. Our server April was knowledgeable and helpful with the menu and the sauces.....perfect service! Once you choose your 'meat' you can also choose your side and vegetable. I had the pulled pork (sinfully yummy and tender) with biscuit and the house veggie which was caramelized cauliflower and carrots...perfect! My other half had the brisket with the house made baked beans and corn bread.....he loved every bite! Teenagers with us had poutine and also he ribs with Mac and cheese side and coleslaw. Everybody was happy and feeling satisfied to hit the road (we were 8 hrs into a 24hr road trip)!! We had no desserts as we were too full but the in house sweet tea was a favourite. We are not from the area but wish we were lucky enough to have this little taste of heaven in our own town!

“Best brisket and pulled pork in the Sault”
Reviewed July 20, 2014

I've been twice and both times walked out full and satisfied.

Brisket Po Boy - great bun, tender, tasteful, well smoked meat.

Pulled pork po boy - same great bun, WOW flavour.

fries - pretty killer too. Great with the sauces.

My buddy had the pulled pork poutine - he said it was unbelievable! It was enough for his whole meal.

Sauces - last but not least! Wow again. They had 5 or 6 different sauces. They had a southern vinegar sauce that was great on everything. And the XXX sauce was incredible - we wanted to bring some home!!

I'll be back soon for sure.

“Amazing”
Reviewed July 20, 2014

Some of the best food I've ever tasted! All food items readily accept the various sauces available. The sauces are so unique, and are tasteful, but in no way overpowering. I shared the sample platter with a friend of mine, and we were both pleasantly surprised by the robust flavours featured in each item (sausage was especially tasty). As well, the atmosphere and service were on point; our server April was incredibly friendly and accommodating. I can't imagine any barbecue-specialty eatery competing in any way...this place is destined for greatness!

“Holy Smokes!”
Reviewed July 18, 2014

Amazing! Everything we ordered was a home run!

We (my wife, two young kids and I) were just passing through the "Soo" and heard about this amazing restaurant that we had to try.

My wife had the Jambalaya - she loved it. Just the right amount of heat! I had to elbow myself in to steal a taste, so good!

Each of the meals are made fresh to order, so there was no problem asking for "tweaks" to my kids' orders. My kids are a little fussy. My daughter's favorite food is home made mac & cheese, so she requested it with no other toppings than the mac & cheese - she loved it! The portion was so large that we ended up taking out a doggy bag that she finished later on the road.

My son had the pulled pork sandwich (with no bun - just the meat ... told you I had fussy kids!) and he loved it too. No need for doggy bag - he finished every bit of it, and the fries too! He actually thanked our waitress for such a good lunch! Extremely kid friendly - my kids had the Kool Aid to drink!

I had the pulled pork sandwich (with bun!). Amazing! It is topped off with extras that are over the top delicious. Plus, co-owner, Chad Stewart came out to present us with the various salad and BBQ sauces to further heighten the flavours of our meals. I went with the hottest sauce - burned so good! He also educated us about the dishes and all the work that goes into preparing them. Such a nice personal touch.

The wait staff were all well informed and very accommodating, friendly.

We finished off the meal with an amazing sampler of desserts - the dessert tray. Smoked cheese cake was to die for! Caramelized bacon vanilla ice cream was my kids' favorite.

Prices were extremely reasonable - $50 for lunch, drinks and dessert for a family of four, for fine dining quality food - beat that!

We will definitely be back to Low n Slow the next time we are in town. A big thanks to Chad Stewart and company for the personalized experience. Fine dining in the 'Soo!

Many great flavours and a unique variety to choose from at this restaurant. You can't be in a rush and be sure to make reservations during peak times, or you may be disappointed.
