The boardwalk was outside our Delta Hotel and was very nice with gorgeous views of the bridge and the water. Really nice.

great views, easy walking, nice plantings along the way - most of the boardwalk is new so the boards don't "trip you up" like in the past.

We love taking walks on the Sault Ste. Marie boardwalk. We usually start at the Public Library and carry on to the Station Mall. Along the way there are many sculptures and monuments sharing some of Sault Ste. Marie's history. You will pass the Norgoma ship on which you can take a tour for a reasonable price. In warm weather you can stop for ice cream or, on special occasions, visit the Roberta Bondar Pavillion where there may be a musical group performing. Along the way there are beautiful grassy knolls and a wonderful view of the St. Mary's River and the ships waiting to enter the canal. Beware, though, if you decide to walk on the grass...look out for Canada Goose droppings since the geese love this rendezvous as well!

Sault Ste Marie has done themselves proud with their boardwalk. It runs for 22 km along the St. Mary's river and is worth the time to explore at least part of it.
