Did you know Canadians lead the world in fighting forest fires, and have developed sophisticated planes to do so? The 3-D movie this gem of a museum offers about Fighting Forest Fires is spectacular . . . a little scary, a little exciting, a little educational, and lots of fun! There are many bush planes to see (some very old, some newer), as well as pontoons, landing skis, folding canoes, wooden propellers, a hunting camp . . . and you can climb inside some of the planes. I thought we'd spend an hour here, but 2 1/2 hours went by so quickly! Give it a try!

This attraction is superb. It offers an excellent insight to the opening of the Canadian north by the bushplane pilots and the firefighting history. The exhibits are amazing. You are even allowed to enter and climb through some of the aircraft. Make sure you watch the two movies. A very large two thumbs up..

If you are within 100 miles of Sault Ste. Marie Ont. you need to stop at this place. If you are into airplanes, fire fighting and just great exhibits this is a must see. The wide variety of planes, the different items on display and the videos are outstanding. I will not spoil it but you really need to see the 3D movie on fighting fires using airplanes. A great experience. Plan on at least 2 to 3 hours to see it all. This place is well worth the stop.

Do not miss this attraction while in the "Soo". Excellent movies and presentations. Separate area for the children as well. Wonderful insight to our forest fire fighters and bush plan pilots.

we disliked nothing. There is a lot more to experience than a bunch of aircraft. Canadians should be justly proud about their excellent aircraft industry. The big surprise here is all the content about forest fire fighting. There are 3 outstanding movies to see. One about the Bush Plane culture in Canada. A fun one is a video tour of the Sault watched through the windscreen of an aircraft simulator. The best is a Disney quality 4D experience all about fire fighting and the roll of aircraft and the efficient Canadian fire control system. Not to be missed!
