“Brrrrrr”
Reviewed July 21, 2013

I took my mother out for her birthday here last week. We've been here for breakfast here on occasion. This time we went for an early dinner. The place was freezing. There was only one other table occupied. I asked about turning the temp up but was refused. We stayed and shivered. The salad bar was tasteless as it tasted like everything had just come out of the fridge. The hot meal I ordered was okay but just a little bland. I'm not going back until they warm things up.

“One of our favourites”
Reviewed May 19, 2013

We live near the restaurant & make a point of going for the $10.00 lunch special. We usually have the 7 oz steak (there are many more choices) & have never been disappointed. This price includes soup/salad bar, entree with choice of potato & veg, rice pudding & non-alcoholic drink.
Wait staff is very attentive in a motherly way.

“A classic roadhouse that is a MUST visit in the Sarnia/PoHo area.”
Reviewed January 25, 2013 via mobile

The Chipican is right out of 1960's roadhouse culture. Decor is as vintage cool as you can get. Service is the BEST. Prices are great and many specials include soup/salad bar/bread/potato/veggies and beer, wine or a shot!

Really?

Yes, that's how awesome it is.

We went with a hockey team of 10 year old boys and their family on the advice of a friend who lives in Port Huron. Best meal advice I have had in a looooong time!

Steaks were great, and the wine selection was remarkably good for what you'd expect to be a beer hall.

Visiting Sarnia? Go here. I assume if you live in Sarnia you already covet The Chipican.
