The place was clean. The place was quaint. BUT, it smelled incredibly musty/moldy. VERY BAD smell. We had cocktails outside. We slept with the fan on, candle going and windows wide open because the mold smell was brutal. The owners were very nice. They were so nice I hesitate to go on about the smell. But trust me; it was BAD. It is about half the price of NOTL. If I had to do it again, I would pay twice the price to not smell the mold.

This Inn was not favoured very highly amongst our group who stayed here during Thanksgiving weekend. We chose this Inn as it looked quaint and off the beaten track. We regularly travel as a group and stay at Inns, and hotels throughout Ontario.
Our dissappointment began when we arrived and we found that our booking had been ill described. We booked for four persons and we were quoted $125 for the night. When we arrived we were told it would be a further $10 per person over the first two. They were impolite as to their mistake.
We were given a room in the overflow lodge across the road. These rooms did not have any ambience that maybe the main house would have offered. The rooms were very small, we had a double queen sized bed set up and there was no room to move. The fireplace was quirky and didn't work properly. There was an old style TV set, no radio or clock, a bottle of shampoo that had been continuosly used by other patrons, tiny bars of soap and no other offerings. One set of sheets showed an old stain on them, rather off putting.
The rooms proved to be very noisy as other patrons returned filled the rooms. You could hear toilets being flushed, feet walking over the floors, not at all pleasant.
A breakfast was offered in the main Inn for $5. It was used by the patrons as there is nothing else close by, unless one wants to drive a distance. However it was not at all worth the money, boring and bland offerings.
The one thing going for the Inn is the position it holds, a beautiful village, quiet and relaxed. One can leave the car and walk in several directions to different historical sites. The main Inn is historical, but we unfortunately didn't get the benefit of enjoying the ambience inside it.
Sorry, but we don't recommend it.

Would highly recommend at a nice place to stay in the Niagra on The Lake area. Innskeepes were very nice and helpful. The bike trail is very good and easy access to NOTL and the falls area. Lot's of wineries to vist in the area! Would recommend and plan to return for a future vacation.

Located between Niagara-on-the-Lake (NOL) and Niagara Falls in convenient to both areas. This property consists of a Bed and Breakfast style house with several charming suites and an adjacent inn which is well apointed and much like a nice Hampton Inn.

We chose this place because we needed to take 4 families with 7 children from ages 7-19 and all stay together in an affordable (not cheap) place in the NOL area. Nnte B&B's in NOL fill up quick are limited to 3 rooms and generally only two may three to a room.

This place is located next to the Queenston Heights Park which has the Brock monument. It is also by the Print Mueum and the Laura Secord House.

While convenient to places by car, it is remote, has no in rooms phones or internet (hense no email to hotel so disregard address I put in to post review) but there is TV. Many of the rooms have gas in wall fireplaces and all are airconditioned. Parking is plentiful and free.

For five dollars extra you can have a simple breakfast, eggs, and toast or pancankes, juice and coffe. This breakfast is for people who want to eat breakfast on site. The eating area is cozy and the host (owner was away so their son and daughter were inn keeping) was very nice. They are happy to share information but they didn't have the typical tourist magazine giveaways with maps.

Other than noted above, there is nothng else withing walking distance (ie shop or cafe). The Niagara Bike Parkway runs past the place and If you are bicyclest it is geat.

The Inn has a lot of return business and caters to people who know how to do their own thing and don't need lots of Kitch. I would stay there again and so would my wife.
