Owner description: Brock's Monument National Historic Site towers over picturesque Queenston Heights, Ontario. The monument measures 56 metres (185 feet) in height and is the largest monument of its kind in Canada. Situated on the site of the Battle of Queenston Heights where British and American soldiers struggled for the destiny of two nations, Brock's Monument is the final resting place of Major General Sir Isaac Brock and his Aide-de-Camp Lieutenant Colonel John Macdonell.

“Under-rated and inexpensive attraction that kids-of-all-ages will love!”
Reviewed September 10, 2013

I am 50 and grew up in the area. As a child, racing to the top of the Brock Monument was my favorite thing to do in Niagara. This is an under-rated and inexpensive attraction that your kids will love (and maybe you too). It is challenging though and you need to be up for the climb.

“Hidden treasure”

Great park overlooking the Niagara River. Good historical stop and lots of shaded walkways to roam. Nice little restaurant as well for lunch. It is right above the Flower Clock.

The climb to the top is narrow and challenging. The climb behind it on the road leading to it into niagara on the lake, my bike route is very challenging

“So much to see.”
Reviewed May 11, 2013

Climbed this Monument a few times. It's still an amazing vista when you reach the top. Be sure to wear comfortable shoes and make sure you can climb the many steps to the top. I don't recommend this climb for anyone is claustrophic since the steps are quite narrow in places.

“for photographers.”
Reviewed March 8, 2013

there is some very involved architecture here. have a close look. there is a lot of historical information inscribed on it. and the local native community has a small shrine to their fallen. they were a huge part of this. very classy.
