Owner description: Brock's Monument National Historic Site towers over picturesque Queenston Heights, Ontario. The monument measures 56 metres (185 feet) in height and is the largest monument of its kind in Canada. Situated on the site of the Battle of Queenston Heights where British and American soldiers struggled for the destiny of two nations, Brock's Monument is the final resting place of Major General Sir Isaac Brock and his Aide-de-Camp Lieutenant Colonel John Macdonell.

Nice view from the top out of the tiny windows but only room for one or two people to stand at the top, so if it is busy and you are rushed, you won't get much chance to enjoy the view. No room to "pull over" and rest on the steep, narrow climb up and down, so be prepared. My leg muscles certainly felt the burn for a few hours afterwards! Monument looked nice lit up at night. Nice setting too, with some gardens and woods as well as a park. There was an event going on the day I was there, so there was a charge to climb the monument, not sure if it is always that way.

My son and I go several times a year, he loves splash pad in summer as well as the climbers. The on Site restaurant is excellent, we had them host our wedding a few years back. If you like duck, it is not to be missed.
