We took Danish friends there a couple of years ago intending to stay for about an hour and ended being there most of the afternoon. Very well laid out with just the right amount of written commentary. Shows the importance of canoe travel though out our great Canadian History.

If you have an interest in the personal watercraft this museum has the finest collection you will ever see. Though not as well served by its facility as the collection merits (an old Evinrude plant outside the city core), the museum certainly merits a visit. It's exhibits depict a true Canadian cultural icon.

This museum has alot going for it. It is beautifully done inside, with many different types of canoes. All the sections are laid out to tell a story from the past. Took my class there for a class trip, they loved it!

what a great day spent teaching my daughter and nephew about the past. It was no problem keeping their attention, they couldn't get enough of the exhibits. The scavenger hunt for kids is both fun and educational for adults as well, just ask my wife. Loved it so much we has purchased a yearly membership as we will be back for sure and I will be sending my wife and daughter back for a workshop

This museum is a small but great part of Canadian History. Well worth your time and you need to spend time to see it all.
Even Pierre of the Trudeau Clan is well represented. He was a fine canoeist.
