Just a Beautiful area, mature forest drive in & out, was Lovely. A nature walk in to the building for the ticket. Helpful Staff Lots of Big posters with Wonderful Information.. I took the time to watch the Movie in the theater (20mins) I also sat on the Indian Blankets on the Rocks to view the other two videos.. I was allowed to take pictures in there. No pictures at the Sacred Site of the Ancient Petroglyphs. There is building over them now for protection. There are hiking trails there to. A room to educate children, with hands on things. A gift shop & snacks. I Took a Long time.. others passed through quickly, no movies, no reading & that's OK too.

You've got to go!!!
Travelling with First Nations and non native as well, we all were awe stricken by the entire experience. The visitors centre has much to offer for learning about the culture and deep connections these people had/have to the land, animals, elements and everything around us. Sorry no pics allowed. This is sacred land, still used by First Nations people. But you will never forget the experience! To sit and pray or listen to the tour guide talk about the significance of the 'rock carvings' you deeply feel the importance of this sacred sight. Great experience for people of all ages!!!

A very interesting place indeed. The Petroglyphs have a building over them to protect them but you are still very outside when you are inside. A must to see.

I've been here several times, most recently as a part of a outdoor education program with Trent University. This park is just stunning, fantastic trails for exploring. Also not to mention the McGinnis lake which is just spectacular a view on it's own. The Petroglyphs are fascinating but it is a disappointment that they're now encased in a large building in the middle of the woods. Also the lack of camping is a downer.

Pros:
- Historical significance
- Petroglyphs
- McGinnis Lake
- Trails

Cons:
- Short hours
- No camping
- Large building that houses the petroglyphs
