Our stay at this Comfort Inn wasn't really that bad, but we'll look for a nicer place the next time we're in Peterborough. We stayed two nights (in town for a wedding) in August '11. We splurged for a Jacuzzi suite, but shouldn't have bothered.

The room was large and fairly clean, but everything appeared old and worn. The drain in the Jacuzzi tub wouldn't hold water, so this was a waste. The breakfast was only average (we chose to go elsewhere the second morning.) Strong chemicals made the pool and hot tub unpleasant.

We're really not that hard to please, but there must be a better place to stay in Peterborough.

I called late one evening asking if they had a room available as my husband had just endured emergency surgery and was discharged at 10:30 pm. I didn't want to drive home (50 km) in the dark so I called asking if a room was available. The woman on the phone was very pleasant and accomodating (gave us the hospital rate for the room). When we arrived, I was so pleased with the room. We were on the first floor which helped him a lot. I enjoyed the breakfast and we were on our way by 7 am. I mentioned next time we would come for pleasure (I saw a beautiful indoor pool and jacuzzi), Thank you to everyone for helping out when needed!

Our Choral group (29 members) stayed here Sept 23rd. It was a great hotel! Close to where we were to sing. Kelsey's attached to hotel. Rooms were clean and comfortable.
Challenge in the morning for breakfast, not enough seating area as I think everyone in the hotel came to breakfast at the same time. Our group and the hockey kids. The staff were great in face of this adversity. Highly recommend!

Room Tip: Some of the jaccuzzi suites have shower curtains on room side and bathroom side, so there is not a l...

We ended up here unexpectedly after having some cottage issues and needing a place to stay for a night that would accommodate our two dogs and two adults (one being in a wheelchair).
After a phone call to the Comfort Inn I was pleasantly surprised how friendly and welcoming they were. And not only that, but we got an incredible rate, especially for a last minute booking!

Yes of course it's not a Four Seasons or Hilton hotel, but for what it is, the room was comfortable (all of us, dogs included, agreed we had a great night's sleep) and the breakfast was adequate.
The service was exceptional! Everyone was so very friendly and kind to us!
The pool looked great took but we didn't use it, but it looked fabulous!
The air conditioning in the room was fabulous!
We loved getting the complimentary popcorn in the room (a nice touch)!
The location of this hotel is super! So many stores, banks, restaurants, fast food, etc within walking distance!!
Lots of great green space to walk the dogs!

Some Downsides:
- they really need to have automatic doors at the front - or at least a button that you can press. It was very much a challenge, not just for us with the wheelchair, but I saw many people struggling to hold the two entrance doors and bring their luggage in
- the carpet on the main floor is showing some wear due to the humidity there are areas where it is buckling, and there is a bit of a musty smell...

But all in all we were pleasantly surprised by this hotel and will definitely return again!

Our family of 4 stayed just one night. The building is a little bit old but the bed and linens were ok. You did not feel to stay more than one night. The price was less than $100.

My boyfriend and I were passing through Peterborough and got a room at the comfort Inn, needless to say the room was over all clean, except I found a pop can underneath the edge of the bed, there was popcorn and other stuff I couldn't identify behind night stand and dresser. The curtains were half off , the ac cover was broken and never provided efficient cold air. The furniture was shabby and very old and stained. We listened to a tap in the bathroom drip all night ,the towels were worn and old.
As for the pool and hot-tub both were out of order , needless to say when we happen to go down for breakfast , there was a women in the hallway talking to one of the cleaners and she sounded very disrespectful and degrading to her, I found out while eating a distasteful breakfast that it was the manager talking to one of her employees like that. I can guarantee I will never be staying there again I will not recommend this place to anyone

Sisters and families stayed for one night. Booked 5 rooms. Range in family sizes were 2 to 5. Range in ages from infant to 80's. We could not have done better for the combination of convenience, value and service.
- large clean rooms, lots of towels; microwave and fridge also handy
- service was accomodating: sewing kit was no problem; moving extra chairs was no problem; felt that any reasonable request would be no problem. Amy was particularly friendly, accomondating and charming.
- free breakfast was a pleasant surprise. Only a continental was promised and there were sausages, a Belgian waffle machine, eggs (probably instant) fresh assorted pastries, bagels or bread for toast, oatmeal, fruit, assorted juices, choice of teas and coffee. Nothing was stale. When things ran out, they were replaced pretty quickly. All in all, a great spread for a free breakfast.
- room for 5 had bunk beds which family of 5 (3 children) loved.
- suites had a king bed and roll out couch; other rooms were 2 double beds which also had a fridge and microwave
- pool was open the whole time we were there (Saturday and Sunday morning). Another guest said it was closed but that was not our experience for those times.
- covered drop off area with double lanes was useful Sunday when it was pouring rain
- location on a strip of fast food restaurants, stores and hotels had its good and bad points but we did not notice noise, even with windows open.

Room Tip: Quiet rooms at the back; mid-rooms are closest to elevators/ middle doors
