The zoo is free so everyone has access. In summer the train is a fun diversion. The play area and splash pad are terrific and there are plenty of picnic spots along the river. Ample parking. You can buy limited food in the zoo. Tim Hortons is just up the street.

We visited the zoo when dating in the 1970's, as a young married couple, as a family with children and now we go with our grown kids and grandchildren. Visitors can't believe this zoo is free for the community, supported by the local utility company. There is a great variety of animals, lots of playground equipment, new water park, picnic areas and a train to ride in the summer! This is a comfort tradition. We had a picnic lunch at the zoo with our cat while moving between two houses and waiting for the second home to close. This zoo means a lot to our family and to many thousands of others. A great visit for all ages and multi-generations!

This zoo is great. Lots of free parking. Great waterpark in the summer. Miniature train ride is extra cost(maybe a couple of bucks). Otter feeding at around 1pm. No dogs allowed as they spook the animals.
