Ate an incredible seafood sampler which included fresh Lake Eire perch and wine from the local Pelee Island winery! We also stayed at one of their cottages, which included a hot tub, and an extra guest (a cricket in our heating vent). Everyone was very accommodating: access to the lounge after we had checked out and waited for the ferry; wine glasses for the room; and an awesome host in Mark! There was also an all you can eat brunch buffet included that had everything from pancakes and eggs to roast beef and lasagna. Very impressed, even though it was our second choice (Wandering Pheasant Inn would not let us book in because one of our family members was 16, and only "adults" are allowed at their establishment)

as being awful! We ate there and the food was pretty bad. The wine is made right down the road, and it's still marked up to an astronomical 300%. Food was overpriced and under seasoned. I couldn't believe my eyes when the bill came! I think because they are one of the only restaurants on the island they think they have a monopoly or something. They had a buffet which was pushed on us by the waitress who probably didn't want to have to bother serving you. If you ordered something from the menu, she'd say "have the buffet, there's fish (or whatever you're ordering) in the buffet. I heard her say this to all the patrons. If you're looking for precooked food that's been sitting under heat lamps all day, this place is for you. Nothing special here...
You're better off going to the Pelee Winery and getting a bread and cheese plate with a bottle of wine.
