Having experienced many B & B's over years of travel I can say that my stay at Pelee Places B & B, operated by Bev Reade, rated amongst the best. Everything my family and friend enjoyed while there, such as the beautifully appointed accommodations and quality amenities, the scrumptious breakfast and the useful Island information Bev provided, made us feel very welcome, relaxed and comfortable. We had a great all-around experience at Pelee Places B & B and would highly recommend it to you.

Thank you so much for bringing your family to stay at our b&b. It was also fun to surprise the guests who were staying at the Stone House with an invitation to breakfast, as these friends of yours had no idea that you would be there too. You made this job fun and I am so glad you enjoyed the tranquility.

We arrived at Pelee Places B & B on a Thursday afternoon and were greeted by our host, Bev, on our arrival. She gave us very good and accurate advice about activities and places to eat on the island. By the time we checked out on Sunday afternoon we wished we had another week. The breakfasts consisted of sumptuous fruit salads, a selection of yogurt, juices, coffee and tea, followed by a choice of an omelet or fritatta or Bev's signature dish, the indescribably scrumptious "Banana Bread French Toast." The front yard featured a commanding view of the lake and the peaceful sound of the waves and the wind in the trees. Relaxation was a surety with the sunrise and sunset views of Lake Erie combined with the great-room's lovely antique farmhouse furnishings and beautiful hand-cut stone fireplace. Highly recommended.

Thank you so much for being our guests. I am happy that you enjoyed your breakfast as we try to provide a nutritious, healthy, filling and yummy meal with home baked goodies too. We are now also trying to source food locally if possible, so next time you come, you will have to try my zzzingy asparagus omelet, made with Amherstburg organic pickled asparagus and free range Pelee Island eggs. Yummy.

My husband and I have never been to Pelee Island... To top that off, we've never stayed at a B&B before. We can now happily check off both of these from our bucket list. Such a gorgeous place that is well kept and very clean. The views are breathtaking and you will surely find serenity. We will definately stay there again and bring friends/family along.
We appreciate everything Bev did for us at Pelee Places; we'll never forget that amazing breakfast!

Thank you for being our guests! We are very happy to have made your first b&b experience an enjoyable one and look forward tom your return anytime.I am glad you enjoyed your comfy bed too! Most people do comment on how well they sleep on Pelee Island, either because of the fresh air, or the utter silence at night, broken only by the hoots of owls or the alto talking of the frogs. Please come back soon!

Only 2 hours away from Leamington dock, yet such a relaxing weekend. Like stepping into another world, without spend a fortune travelling. Very relaxing atmosphere on the island and at Pelee Places. Bev made us feel very at home, very comfortable atmosphere.Spent a relaxing evening at the beach. Watched the sunrising over the water in the morning, followed by a delicous breakfast. Glad that she advised us to do the wine tour at Pelee Island Winery.
See you soon Bev.

Thank you so much for being our guests. I am happy that we were able to give you a relaxing weekend. You are right that the ferry ride, part of the great experience Pelee offers, takes you a world away. I am also pleased that your breakfast was yummy and kept you from going hungry as you explored our lovely island. Please come back soon!

My friend & I had rooms in the B & B and loved our stay. It's a very beautiful setting - lake on one side, lagoon on the other and just down the way from the bird reserve and light house.

The rooms were very comfortable, just the right temperature (and it was extremely hot outside.) Slept very well.

The breakfasts were amazing and so filling we didn't need to eat lunch! Bev is a warm and friendly hostess.

Thank you so much for being our guests! I am so glad that you enjoyed your stay enough to write such a kind review. It is good to know that you enjoyed your sleep too! Although most of my guests rave about my beds and have even offered to buy them, I do get an occasional complaint. One time it was from a woman who had been running around in little clothing, howling at the moon in order to release her inner goddess, I believe she said. She claimed the jigger bites she sustained were bed bugs! Not likely!
Please come back anytime!

We stayed on East shore and it was nice. We stayed for two nights. Bev made us feel at home. We arrived early and got a little lost but we found our way.

When we were inquiring about the reservations Bev recomended that we take a vehicle and she was so right. Make sure you make your ferry reservations early. It is very easy to drive on and off. It was close to 100 degrees and it would have been very hot to ride a bike. the island its self is rustic with many out of the way places

Bev also makes a great breakfast. If going to Pelee I would recomend Pelee Places

Thank you Bev! My husband and I stayed at the B&B two nights, as a getaway for our anniversary. The home is breathtaking, with beautiful panoramic views of Lake Erie. The bed was very comfy, huge, and we slept great. Breakfast was by far one of the best I've ever had; made-to-order omelettes, freshly baked muffins and fresh fruit and coffee...what a perfect start to the day! Met interesting people staying at the B&B, and enjoyed the conversations...felt like we were a world away which was exactly what we were looking for. Far surpassed all my expectations, already discussed on the way home when we could come back! Thank you again. Denise.

Room Tip: We stayed in the master bedroom I believe with the private bath. We loved it. It was roomy enough fo...

Thank you for your kind words and for taking the time to review us on tripadvisor!
The guests you can meet sharing breakfast with are really interesting, for sure. The people I have met from all over the world love Lighthouse Point B&B because of the views and yummy food, and understand why Pelee is 'loved for what it lacks'. The ferry ride takes 90 minutes, so it is a great start to a holiday where you want to get away... but only for a few days, and without taking a plane.
