“Good start”
Reviewed June 19, 2013 via mobile

This restaurant recently opened and so far so good. There clearly are some kinks that need to be worked out, but I trust that in time this will be one of the best places around.

The upper level patio was not open when we were there and yes, the inside dining room is quite noisy. The televisions on the walls make it seem like a sports bar too which doesn't really match the decor or atmosphere.

We visited the restaurant as a large group and our waitress was great. She was friendly and attentive even though the place was busy. You could see that there was a little bit of chaos going on around the kitchen area. I think perhaps some of the staff are still getting the swing of things. Our meal and drinks both took awhile to get to us and one of the people in our party did not get his dinner until most of us had eaten half of our food. That was really the only issue we had. The atmosphere was good and the food was reasonably priced and tasted great. The beer was a bit expensive for a small town establishment, but when you are thirsty, it is what it is!

Overall, I would recommend the restaurant. Just don't go in expecting super fast service or at least until they get more into the swings of things and get a routine established. If you're going to relax and have some good food, then the wait shouldn't be a big deal.

“Change of ownership”

Used to be the Kennu. Now owned by a fairly well known Chef. Basically informal, good menu options. Food was good, service prompt. Pleasant staff.

“Stillwaters, NOT Stillaters.”
Reviewed June 12, 2013

Please correct the name of this restaurant. Thank you.The complete name is Stillwaters! Plate and Pour
I agree that it was too noisy; there seemed to be an echo. Something else for management to work on. Has a lot of potential.

“NOISY”
Reviewed June 11, 2013

We decided to try this 'new' place because the previous owners were gone and we hoped the experience would be good. We walked up the stairs to the restaurant, opened the door and were greeted with a noise level that was astonishing. Clearly the dining area wasn't going to work for our business lunch because we couldn't have talked to each other so we asked if there was a bar hoping it would be quieter. It was but only slightly. The server spoke very loudly any time she addressed us because she had to or we wouldn't have heard her. Our drinks and meal arrived promptly. The coffee was just warm. The club sandwich was on pita bread and enormous but no lettuce in sight, my companion left more than half on the plate. My appetizer (sweet potato fries) was hot and crisp but the oil had a funny taste. The overall experience was underwhelming. It's not likely we will go back.
