Two friends and I shared a few plates for dinner, and we all liked what we had. The Tom Kha coconut milk soup with shrimps was excellent, while my friend enjoyed the regular Tom Yum soup. The chicken Pad Thai was on the mark, not too hot nor too oily, and the beef red curry was a bit mild. The chicken fried rice was average, and the sticky rice was nice.

Service was good, given 50% full on a weekday night and a single server. Prices were relatively low, and the atmosphere was somewhat cool but nothing wrong; just not a place for a romantic evening, just a great place to eat a decent Thai meal. I would definitely go back.

Enjoyed our dinner in this small but cozy restaurant. Run by two sisters. They do a great job and the food was well prepared and brought out promptly.
Not a large place, Not sure if you can reserve, but they do take out.

We have recently discovered Thai Lanna. It is easy to miss, hidden as it is in a nearly invisible strip Mall in the south end. But Thai Lanna is worth the search: delicious, authentic Thai food that is a notch above the typical Thai offerings in Ottawa. The service is friendly and informative, and every dish we have tried has been excellent. The cook has things just right: in a lesser restaurant the flavours meld together, but here they reflect the hallmark of good Thai cuisine, where we can taste the individual ingredients. It is hard to recommend a favorite dish because we have liked them all. I particularly like the Chicken Bai Teow (marinated chunks of chicken wrapped in Pandanus leaves and then barbequed. Yummy dipped in the accompanying sesame sauce. Red beef (Penang) curry is wonderful as well, with a delicious sauce (despite the menu's description as a "Dried Curry"). Tiger beer is the perfect accompaniment to the spicy food This is a small restaurant, best suited to couples or groups of four.

Some of the best Thai in the city comes from this family-run business. They do offer take-out, or you can eat in to enjoy the small, busy and cozy atmosphere, smiling service and immaculately prepared Thai food.
