a happening local which is very busy most of the time. why ? an eclectic mix of better than average food with interesting choices - not your fish and chips type of selection - a large selection of microbrews and single malt scotches, a social artsy clientele, a cosy room with good energy, great staff with attentive service and occasional live music or literary events. The weekend brunch is very popular and as noted fills within 5 minutes of opening (10 am), so if you don't make it for 10am, aim for an hour later when tables will start to free up (brunch runs to 3pm). menu choices include a breakfast burrito, tofu scramble, a lamb curry wrap, salmon burger, black bean dip, veggie offerings and some vegan as well as chalkboard specials. Usually accompanied by an ample fresh salad. as the room isn't huge be prepared to sit close to others and be social. They have been getting it right for years. love this place.

The trick of visiting the Manx for brunch is being there when it opens. The place is literally fill 5 minutes later. In the winter, I would not accept a table you can see from the door because it is a very drafty place and less considerate people stand and hold the door open, trying to stay warm themselves. Food is good and occasionally very good. While i'm not a fan of their home fries, not many places serve what I would call great home fries.

Usually and interesting crowd and menu. It can be a little crowded as the entire place is not very big and it seems popular with the locals. Generally good food and beer but the service can be a little slow.

Stopped in to check it out. Good selection of beers, quick service - sat at the bar. My husband and I enjoyed a very good black bean dip to go with our beer. Would return.

I enjoyed this resto and since it's really just a Pub, I wanted to put this review in perspective . It's in a basement, very tiny, good service and I had a salmon sandwich that was tasty, full of Asian flavour and very messy- but in a good way. I will go again as each time food passed my table to go to another table- the smell was awesome!

So in terms of pub food, this was great!
