“Breakfast Omelette is a treat, but service can be tricky.”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 25, 2013 via mobile

You can't go wrong with the Manx' Omelette Special they have every weekend, and there have been many occasions where we've taken advantage of the hefty helping it offers. The price is definitely a little high, but is comparable to other breakfast establishments.

Coffee is consistently good, but the service can be a little sketchy. It gets a little busy sometimes, so the wait for your food can sometimes get lengthy (30+ minutes), and sometimes the coffee and hot water for your tea is not flowing as freely as you would like in the meantime, so it can often seem even longer.

This is also not counting the time I made my way to the bar for breakfast and was not even approached or made contact with for over a half hour, and this was at the height of the busy time. Knowing they would probably need the seat for a customer that may want to be asked to be served, I politely left without incident and unfortunate have not been back as of yet.

“So greasy”
1 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 20, 2013

When your wrap is dripping fat onto your plate, you know you've got a problem... the absolute greasiest food I've ever eaten in my life. The atmosphere was great though, quaint and cozy.

“Manxnificent! It's a pub in a basement, how good is that!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 17, 2013

It's somewhat dark, it's somewhat dank, it's somewhat crowded, but WGAF! It's a pub with fantatsic food and atmosphere and many choices of craft beers (that Vanilla Porter from Beaus....and absolute dream of a drink) and the staff were friendly and it was packed at lunch, and the sweet potatoe soup with bacon was excellent. When a pub has so many good choices and such great atmosphere, why would you go anywhere else? We heard it has one of the best breakfasts in town but sadly, we had to leave early. Give it a try and let me know and I'll get the next round. Cheers!

“Good but ...”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 8, 2013

I used to go to this place when they had the veggie nut burger. Absolutely divine, but then they took it off the menu and never brought it back! If they want me back, ``where`s the NUT``!
