“Great Service and excellent food”
Reviewed November 30, 2013

I was contemplating 4 stars but decided on 5 due to the very friendly service and the fact that the wait staff took the effort to run outside and see if they could return the hat to the young girl that forgot her at the table (as it was -5 the would need it)

The oysters were nice and the combination of hot and cold allowed to try a wide sample, The staff made sure we got them served the way we wanted and explained the sauces and the selections.

The hot dishes were superb with the Wall-eye being tender and light and my mackerel just perfectly balanced the tomato pure enhanced the strong flavour and the Chinese eggplant added a crispy compliment to the skin (overall a very well crafted dish).

The layout is nice but sadly allows a bit more draft than I like (I am sure when it's fill the cool air will be welcome).

“Great experience”
Reviewed November 18, 2013

This small location offers an intimate and festive experience. In an ecclectic decor, the staff welcomes you with a friendly attitude. The barman opens oysters and also plays the DJ with LPs from the 80s. The food is excellent but there is absolutely no rush, so don't go there if you are tight on time. After the oysters platter (4 different varieties), I tried the chowder that was tastefull and full of surprises. Definitely an experience to repeat anytime.

“One of the best in Ottawa”
Reviewed October 27, 2013

We have dinner in the nice closey restaurant. Oyster is fresh, but the main courses were superbly done. We had the hanger steak which is cooked just right and mixed with all of it's side to create interesting taste to it. We also had trout and walleye as well. They were done just right. Dessert with Chorros with chocholate was done fresh and tastey. Will definitely come back.

“Best oysters”
Reviewed October 19, 2013

Made reservations the day before our visit. Oysters were fantastic. We had walleye and haddock for mains. Both were well prepared and the presentation was outstanding. I highly recommend this restaurant and suggest you make a reservation if you want a table. If I lived in Ottawa I would eat here at least once a week!

“ECLECTIC/COZY and CUTE”
Reviewed October 15, 2013

Nice atmosphere even if it's a small dim lighted place, music to our ears from an old record player with vinyl records...
The fish is sustainable only, the sea food is amazingly good.Menu change every other day.Must try the clam chowder, walleye and trout. Yummy
Be sure to make a reservation, you won't regret...
Could do better on the dessert list.
