On a recent chilly evening we decided to try what we had heard was a unique persective on Mexican/Latin American food.
A tiny, cosy space, with charming service. Food was inventively prepared, and some dishes (crab and avocado salad, lamb shank in mole sauce) were superbly done. The Caesar salad for 2 was wonderfully dressed, and spicy with habaneros - although the romaine was wilting a bit, indicating that it had been prepared and dressed hours before - not " prepared at your table", as advertised.
Compared to food we have had in Mexico - Puerto Vallarta in particular - it did not measure up, but was a very pleasant, if expensive place to visit here.
Only other quibble - we were reminded when we reserved, and when we began the meal - by 2 different servers - of their 2 hour limit - not surprising that they do this, given the few tables - but a bit off-putting to have the message relayed three times. No problem meeting the requirement since service was prompt, but it does take the edge off the hospitable welcome they present otherwise.
